i got this call today... scare me! they told me that i owe them 300 dollars.. im disabled (deaf) so they says that i have 2 cases in court from there but not in united states.. they says that if i put 300 dollars in fax then they says that i dont have to go to court huh? then at first thing, they called me a***n and i told them that i think so****ings wrong and i can call police and ask them to investgation somehow they got scared says "take care bye" ***g up on me.. i think it's SCAM so should i report or what?? at first thing, they says they were from india then at second thing, they says that they were from thailand.. confused me... please help me! thanks...

i receive a call from a steven mcdowell and hesaid i owe 900 and he was gpoing too have me arrest on monday and this is the number he call from 1 661 532 8208 and he was making all kinds of treats too me and keeps calling here and he told me too write a promsie letter too pay and i went to the police inmytown too tll abt the call i was scared so plz tell me what too do abt this

I got a call from themf and same thing they said i was going to be arrested, funny thing is I paid the company they are collecting for months ago, i told them i have records to prove it and they would not accept it they said i was committing fraud (yeah right) and would be arrested. they have given me two different names Paul Thomas and Adam Woods. Very heavy accents (middle eastern or indian). Very rude and they almost sound like a scam especially since I told them I can prove I paid and they didn't want to hear it and wouldn't give me to much of their info.

Received this call today, They are SCAM artist and there was information on my local news about these people. I reported them to the attorney general and local authorities. In the United States their is no debtor prison and they can't lock you up if you owe money. Research will show they were shut down and they are calling from India with various U.S lines. Califonia, Florida and so on. Ask them who they are and to send you paper work with written do***entation and they will go away. Do not be intimmidated.

Some guy with an accent called me and thought he was going to intimidate me with his message. I will be contacting my local law enforcement in Tampa.

just got a call from this number also to call back 661-532-8208 . This is a scam don't give out any personal info. This happend to me about a month ago also from a different number. When they called me back I told them that your lawfirm does not exist and that they were being recorded they stopped calling right away.

This number called my wife from 661 532 8208 claiming they had a law suit pending a***nst my wife. They are answering as a Lawyers group in Ca. We called the Oregon Attorney generals office and they have received several of these complaints from this same phone number. It's some sort of scam. I called this number back and told them they could call the AG office and I was disconnected. I tried calling a***n and all it does is go to a message from someone with a heavy foreign accent. Beware!

I just recorded the whole entire conversation and I am gonna see what can be done they called my house number and told me that I would be locked up. I never had a payday loan and or any loan. they said that I would have to go to court and a whole bunch of other ****

I recieve a call just a couple hours ago from this number stating he was Steven Mcdowell. He had a very middle eastern, robot voice which made it hard to understand what all he was saying. He stated that I owed amount of $900.00 and that it needed to be paid. I asked what the debt was concerning and he wouldn't give me any imformation about the my case or the company he worked for. He stated that I needed to write a promise letter stating that I agree to the amount and I that am willing to pay this debt. He told me to write that I would pay $500.00 by Dec 2, 2010 and $400.00 on the 19th of December. He gave me a fax number 1-760-574-0316 ­. I was told that if the fax wasn't recieved by in the morning that he would have me arrest at my place of employment. I contacted the local Police Department about this call and was told by the police that if he called me a***n to have him call the police station.

I just received a call from this number today (11-22-10). They told me that I was being sue for bank and check fraud. They kept telling me I would go to jail and that I would need to get a lawyer and they kept threatening to send law enforcement to my work and that I would loose my job. I asked why I hadn't received any paper work over the issue and they said they sent me e-mails,I need paperwork in the mail before I would even consider it and the lady who had a accent got mad at me then placed one of her****ociates on the line. As soon as I would **** up on her she would call back with a total of 14 calls. She kept telling me I was gonna pay because I was a criminal. She kept Phishing for personal information and money. I contacted my local police department and filed a complaint. I hope no one else has to deal with these charactors.

I thought it was pretty funny considering I don't even have any checks and never have. They kept telling me I would go to jail and that I would need to get a lawyer and they kept threatening to send the information to my work and that I would loose my job. Who are these people. I'm going to my local police station about it today!!!

This number repeatedly calls my house and cell phone number. They say I have a payday loan thru them and that I need to have my lawyer call them back. Well. I dont have any payday loans thru them or anyone else. I will be calling the FTC and reporting them.

Is there any way to stop these calls from some person with an accent who claims that I owe money for a payday loan that they say I apparently stopped payment on. Which I never have done. Two weeks ago I was threatened with court and jail. Nothing obviously happen but now he is calling my work and threatening me a***n. What can I do to stop this harrassment?

I too have received several calls from him, at my place of employment. He even went too far by telling me if I did not pay, he knew were I lived and work; and gave me the address to both. this is going way too far. Does anyone know how we can catch this David Cooper person?

I recieved the a call from this no. also. They will not stop calling. I have told them to stop and they just keep telling me I am going to be arrested. I am disabled and it has stressed me out so much. I have called and reported them to are sheriffs dept., and they are s****ing an investagation on them also.

I to received a call from this number and a voice message on Nov. 17th, stating that me or my retained attorney needed to return the call, and the hotline to his division was 661-532-8208 and if he did not get a call back from me or my attorney that all's he could say is good luck while the situation on hand unfolds. I have not returned the call nor do I plan to. It seems a little funny, that the called sounded like as if he was a def person who learned to talk mixed with a middle eastern, robot voice, and there is nothing said as to what the issue at hand is, nor a company name. And if any money is owed to the US or on a US loan, there would demand payment notices and more then likely a Certified Letter sent with a final notice. The call on the 17th is so far the only phone call that I have received, from this subject.

harrassing me at work. they somehow got my cell phone number too. they claim i will be arrested for fraud!? i told them to mail me any legal paperwork and they refused. they claim to be calling for an attorney's office but won't give the name of the attorney. they also threatened to contact my manager.

this number called me saying charges are pending on me if i dont hand them ******cks  and they wanted my card number and a letter faxed to them saying i will not dispute this payment and that its from a online payday loan. I called and they said no what are u talking bout. They said its thru us bank and i said us bank does not do payday loans. The guy that called said his name is david cooper then he said his name was ***in.  i look this number up and to my suprize people have the same problem from this number. Received a call from this number telling me needed to call back or my lawyer ...they said i took a loan out from US Loan needed to pay over $8.000 to them or go to jail for money laundering, fraud .. or be arrested on Monday and go to prison I never took any loans from US LOANS this is phony loan company . ...I did a search on this number ...and location ... . also contacted Lancaster police dept and also here in Indy police department.. is a scam ...the person that call is a middle eastern male with a really bad accent . BEWARE

I just got the same call from David Cooper, think middle eastern accent...I don't know who they are but they call me no less than 10-15 times a day...They are harrassing me at work.

Just got a message from this #. Caller said his name is David Cooper, he had a very thick foreign accent so I don't think that is his real name. He said that if I don't call back, I'm going to jail and "good luck". What a joke, I don't owe them any money.

I just heard from these dritbags and I called my banks and my loans out and it was none of them, I looked up this number and BINGO! There all fakes! And the need to get a life instead of preying on hard working americans, don't believe a word they say!
