Leave a CommentI called today and used your tactic, I hope it works. I really think I confused him, I asked very personal questions like whats your favorite ***ual position, can you be my sugar daddy. and so on. The conversation lasted about an hour so I hope I saved someone the hassle this has caused me. I am still going to cover my tracks and contact the authorities with the different #s that have called me, as well as the BBB and the district attorneys office. Have fun with these people when they call, it brightened my day to f*** with them, BUT NEVER EVER CONFIRM OR GIVE THEM INFORMATION!!! c****e it up be someone else for 5 minutes, then c****e your name mid convo and talk about a different topic. BTW if they call you a***n tell them Danielle misses her sugar daddy ****
After receiving more than 30 calls, I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and call them back. I called over and over just to tie up their phone line. I would ask what their favorite movie was, if they liked coffee, what their favorite color was, ect. I figured as long as one of them was wasting their time on the phone with me, that was one less person they could call and scam. I kept getting passed up the chain of comman until I finally spoke to the supervisor who said my name would be removed and they would not call me a***n. It has been almost 5 days and I have not received a call. The BBB and FTC aren't doing anything to help us consumers so this seemed to be an effective way to annoy them. I could tell they were getting upset, but they have to answer the phone each time it rings just in case it might be someone they could get money from. Try it for yourself! I posted a video on YouTube as well.
W***ver these people are - they need to be ****! They have been calling me for almost a year now trying different names over and over a***n (american names with an indian accent) threaten me with police and lawsuits and all that - I sent all the information I have to the state's attorney's office and the chicago FBI and the next time they called me I told them that I sent the information to the FBI and the guy goes nuts saying "F*** your FBI, F*** you and your FBI, F*** the FBI" and ***g up.
So I've been receiving phone calls from this number and also a bunch of 0's. I looked this company up. They are already in trouble for defrauding migrant workers. Their scam used to be that they told migrant workers that for a fee they could get them legal citizenship here. They took the money and then did nothing. Apparently figuring no one would ever do anything because, hey, the migrant workers were here illegally, and two wrongs must make a right. Now the scam is that they are going after people for supposed pay day loans that were not repaid. Probably some of the people they call actually do have outstanding pay day loans. I do not. I now have 18 messages saved on my phone's voicemail. All from two different men with thick Indian accents, using a combined total of 6 different alias'. I don't know about all of you, but I am still debating how many voicemails I want to save before I burn them to a cd and take it in to my local FBI ***nch. What they are doing IS fraud. Because they are perpetrating the crime over many states, it is a federal crime. I would suggest anyone who has recordings or can record conversations and voicemails should do so and send them to your local FBI ***nch with a note explaining your contacts with these people. Even if you actually do owe them money, they still can't impersonate an officer of the law or use intimidation tactics a***nst you. Two of the voicemails I have actually tell me that if I don't respond, I will "badly regret it" and pretty much all of them say that "the situation badly unfolds upon you." It would be nice if they used proper English, but I guess that's a bit much to ask of criminals. I have been reading many comments across quite a few message boards like this one and some people have had some pretty horriffic experiences with these people. All I can say is, if you want results, give it to the FBI. I know a couple of those guys through my line of work, and they are always looking for the next big scam to ***** down on because it looks real nice on their resumes. So when you get frustrated with the BBB giving a company that doesn't care about their rating an "F-" or waiting for the FTC to finish taking it under advi*****t, go straight for the jugular like I am. This isn't civil like how California is handling the migrant worker scam. This is criminal. Let the right department investigate.
Received a call from this number looking for someone who doesn't live in my house. This guy (indian) named michael asks me who I am and my age. I told him that if he continues to call I will report him to the ftc. He says he is a law firm....right the background noise sounds like the guy is in a train station. It's a collect scam for some poor person
This is a fraud. Received 4 phone calls in a row from this number before I decided to answer. Caller said his name was Mike Johnson (Indian guy) and that I had a pending lawsuit a***nst my name. I asked what company he was calling from and he said he was calling from a law collection agency (no name). I ***g up. He called back - this time as Mike Johnson and gave me the company name of American Law Collection. I said my number is on the Do Not Call Registry and ***g up. He calls a third time and leaves a voice message. This time his name is David Johnson (same guy - definitely Indian). States I owe $5000.00 to some unnamed company and that if I do not call him back, I will be taken to court next week. Just for kicks, I decided to call back. He answered as Mike Johnson a***n. He did not identify himself as a debt collector or make me aware the call was being recorded (which is the law). I asked him if they had sent so****ing in writing. They had not. I asked if they could. He said no. I asked who I supposedly owed. He didn't know. He then read my social without verifying my name (which is illegal) and I told him so. He did not have my address, but asked for it. I refused. Then he asked for a credit card number to pay the $5000.00. I flatly refused. When I told him he had used several different names when he had spoken to me and that I had recorded the conversation he ***g up. This is clearly not a legitimate company. If you have received a call, check your credit report and file a claim with the FTC. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR AUTHORIZE THEM TO COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU.

This number called me minute after minute several days threatening lawsuit. When I returned the call and told them they were in violation of harassment they threatened to call me 1,000 times tomorrow. When I asked to speak with a supervisor the man said he was the supervisor and refused to let me to anyone else. The caller spoke broken english and was unaware of fair collection practices.
