This was someone calling from Financial****et Management. They asked for someone who does not live here. At first I thought they were asking for my grand***her. When I corrected the representative, telling him no one by that name lived here, he said he would have our phone number removed. We can only hope he will do what he said.After looking up information online, I found out Financial****et Management collects student loans.

THey have left msgs & have called daily for the past few weeks - Calling for a person that does not live here & have never heard of this person... told them this & they persist in calling here daily.  How can I make them stop?!

We got a call from this number last night (2/15/11).  The caller spoke with my husband and asked for someone we didn't know.  From what I could gather from his expression and what he said, the caller didn't believe him.  Hubby said "I'll let you talk to my wife, maybe she knows them."  When I spoke to them, they asked for (name). I told him I don't know who that is and what number they are trying to reach.  It was the right number.  I suggested they try googling the name to find the right number since this wasn't it.  So annoying when people call and don't believe that you aren't who they are looking for and practically insist that you are or should know this person.  Ever hear of "faking it"?   The location only came on call id as Atlanta NE GA.

They are hired through the Dept of Education and they are in fact legit. They garnished my wages a few months ago and i had to file a grievance through Financial****et Management and the Dept of Edu to have this removed. I've since setup a payment plan.

Unknown comes accross the caller Id. They do not clearly id themselves nor will they spell their name; they do state that they are with the Dept. of Education.  These people push to get a "****n payment" by wanting your checking account number. Do NOt ever do that. I did not. I put them off so that I could find out who I am dealing with. This was a good thing. The first time, I asked them to call back after a specific time...they have not. That is why I have s****ed  to warn others. I have found out from other websites that these people are not only not the Dept of Education, there are horrible stories about what they have done to others.  Also, know your rights. We do still have them. Find out the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
