Received call at my place of employment and given some reference number.  I have no clue about what's going on, but I did call the number and the receptionist didn't give me any information - she transfered me to some extension that no one answered and the voicemail wasn't activated.  What a crock!  What they're calling me because I have a common name?

GOT A CALL ON MY CELL PHONE FROM 678-593-2391  A MS Washington, said she had a case number and that there was a charge a***nst my social security number - how can we stop this call?

Got a call from a Mr. King with Nelson Hurst &****ociates (678-593-2372) for a former employee. He even gave a case number.  He definitely had no concern when I told him the employee hadn't worked for us for several years.  Sounded like the scam everyone is talking about.

I received the same type of call today from 678-593-2343.  I'm sure glad I googled this.... let's keep it up.  So****ing needs to be done about this.

I believe it is a scam as well, especially since I pulled up their information and saw all these posts!

I received a voicemail on cell phone from this number from a man stating that he was from Nelson Hurst and****ociates. In addition, he went on to say that he was calling in reference to a possible fraud case a***nst me and that me or my attorney should return his call.  I had a friend who is an attorney call the number back and it went to his voicemail where my friend left his information. I have not heard back from these people since.

A Woman named Yolanda called my cell phone and asked if i remembered her. She then said that so****ing was wrong with her credit sore and asked me to check her account for her... it was stange.

received this call and told me to call or else....... gave me extension and case #  pulled up all these responses on here and now I know it is a scam. How can these people be stopped.

I rec'd a call from this company stating that I had not paid back a payday loan from 2002. They gave me a bogus bank acct. number, because when I inquired with my bank they informed me that none of their acct. numbers begin with those digits. I don't know how they were able to get the names of family members but they did. They stated that they would take me to court and garnish my wages if I did not pay them and then they wanted to know where I worked. I told Sandy that I was not going to give her that information and she became very angry with *****ank God for this site. Upon further research I called them back and confronted them with the fact that they are running a scam and they ***g up on me. I advise everyone to never give any information out and to let them know that you will contact an attorney and get back to them. This is very scary because they had to much of my personal information. I am going to get fraud alert on all of my accounts. I suggest you do the same.

I RECIVE THE SAME MESSAGE BUT DID NOT CALL BACK BECAUSE THE ***** CALLED MY WORK NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVERYONE KNOWS THAT COLLECTOR CANNOT HARRASS YOU AT WORK. SO TO THE SCAM ARTIST THAT IS DOING THIS YOU WILL BE CAUGHT!!!!!!!

I live in TX and a Bob Combs called me today statying that a warrant has been issued because of a payday loan i didn't pay and neglected to give me anyinfo, and that I would have to be picked up by the Sherriff Dept and then they will give me info.  What was the outcome of this...not to mention they called a possible relative and told them all of my business and that they know where I live and hve rode by my house.

My roommate received a call on his phone today. The person never left a message. He called the number back and she asked to speak to me. She stated I owed money from a loan that I took out. Also she stated the call is being monitored. She stated that I had a First Union account. I have not had a accout since the spring of 2003. She stated she was a fraud investigator and that I needed to come up with the money asap. She stated that I lived in Florida and NY, which I have never lived. Also she claimed I moved to the Atlanta metro area in 1999. I moved to the Atlanta metro area in 1998. I was told that I took out a loan in 2005. I have never taken a loan out and had it deposited into this fic***uous account. I have a fraud alert on my credit report. Also I have credit monitoring with credit keeper. I studied law in college and received my degree in Criminal Justice. I do know my rights and that this had to be a scam. If I owed any money the cops would of served me a warrant and or sent my a letter in the mail. This is some bull ****. 404-288-5076 was the number that called my roommates phone. Anyone can get your information and call you to try to get money out of you. I am not going to worry about it because I know this is false information. Later on a friend called and did *67. The woman stated your calling from a block number. The woman was rude and she was yelling at my friend. My friend stated she had to be in collections or this is some fake mess. I really don't appreciate at all. I am was laid off over a year ago and I need no drama in my life. I will be advising family and friends about this scam. I just called the number back and it stated this was Nelson Hurst and****ociates fraud department.

Received same call from 404-380-1709. A Ms. Douglas is on the other end of the phone and says also a payday loan. Called my bank and it has gone to their security department. They told me it is a scam and not to give them and information and no one can get into my account. I called and asked her her to fax a copy of check and she couldn't. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!

I just received a call today from 404-288-3882 (actually a message at my mother's home) and the lady stated she was an agent of some type but would not tell me anything more.  She was rude and would not even explain who or what she was with. I am going to make a formal complaint to my state.

same call from Nelson Hurst and****ociates wanting me to give them a depit or credit card number to pay for a loan. No information could be givin to me at all except that it was a payday loan which is illegal in GA. Now they are telling me that they are taking legal action for check fraud. Is this place for real or a scam?

I received a call from this number and it was a lady stating that she was from Nelson Hurst and****ociates. she said I was being charged with check fraud and unless I paid 1000 by the end of the day I would be subpeo***. she said I didnt pay back a loan. I asked her for all kinds of info and researched it couldnt find anything on it except other people accounts of it being a scam.
