Alleging that the IRS would be arresting me by tomorrow; of course, they were kind enough to give me a break if I called them immediately and possibly pay them some money that I don't owe!
Just got a call on my cell phone (NJ area code) from this #, and I let it go to voicemail. It's a recorded female voice saying there are "4 serious allegations" a***nst me, and I have to call them at 678-743-4112 within 24 hours to prevent "serious consequences." Caller ID places this # in Georgia. Sounds pretty scammy. Number is now blocked.
Says that you will be “picked up by the local cops” because you have 4 crimes a***nst you. What professional law enforcement says “cops”?! That was my first clue this was bogus. Mind you I am in NJ and this caller is from GA. They want you to call the number back. What for? I have no idea.
