I just REC. this call on 1-27-2011 @ 4:33PM and it showed up on my caller I.D as ''IMPORTANT'' call and they did try to call me three times in a row I am going to call the local Police DEPT. to inform them of these types of calls I have had other calls like this in the past I always let the answering ma****e get it and then I Google the number before I take an unknown call
Showed up on caller ID as Visa Offer. We did not take the call. They left a message that they were able to reduce the rates on my Visa. I don't have a Visa. When I called back, I could press #1 so allegedly be taken off their calling list. They have called 4 times this week.
This number showed up on my caller ID just a few minutes ago. (The ID showed the caller name as "Important Call" so I knew it was a scam and didn't answer it.) And when I didn't answer it, they called three more times, literally with less than 30 seconds between calls. I used to answer these calls, and then press 1 to be connected to someone but have only been met with a smart-a** comment if I inform them I am on the do not call list or ask to be removed from their mailing list. Now, when I talk to a "live operator," I say absolutely the most ****** things. Since the do not call list is a joke, I feel this is my only way to fight back.
Rachel has often called...today I asked a gentleman who picked up not to call a***n...said.."Now, I'd like your name and company ID number" he clicked off. Shortly later, I got a call from a number that had been discontinued in my home area....I think it was him because a couple of years ago, this same thing happened and Rachel was calling from our local school/less than two miles away...at all hours, and the school had no idea what was happening. I contacted them with a recorder on the phone, told them not to call a***n, and it worked for a while?! How can I stop this creep this time?
