Leave a CommentPhishing! Claimed to be Merrill Lynch, and that my debit card had been cancelled.
called me today, I live in Long Island NY
Now they are calling my cell phone
Yah, um...NO!
Fraud - I don't have a debit card with Merrill Lynch; only one option to reactivate; no choice to talk to someone about how/why it is frozen.
Scam/Phishing scheme. I couldn't understand what company they claimed to be, but they said my debit card was frozen. I have never had a call from my bank before when they have done that, they just freeze it and wait for me to call in. The fact that there is only one option to take is also a dead give-away.
This is 100% scam, asking you to input your 16 digit card number.
Scam
I just received a call on both my cell and home phone. Said Merrill Lynch is my debit card. Don't deal with anything with Merrill Lynch.
Fraud
Fraud company. They called saying my Merrill Lynch debit card has been cancelled. Only problem is I don't have debit card from them. Sorry but I will alert the State of NV your calling from, FTC, FCC my State and the FBI. Others should also.

Told me my debit card had been suspended then told me that they could turn it back on. If I was interested , I was told to press 1. Needless to say I know a scam when I hear one so I ***g up.
CREATIVE FOAM while i admit that our voicemail founds like we are saying "creative phone" i can****ure you that all we do is cut styrofoam. we are the owners of that phone number. we are just as much a victim as the rest of you. over the weekend, someone has been using our phone number on their caller id in this scam. so, this weekend ALL of florida, ******ia, texas, california and likely a few other nearby states have been calling our shop. we had to unplug our phones. i recently contacted our telephone service provider to see if i can block all calls from other states, i have also alerted the FTC, the FBI and the FCC. our voicemail goes to our email. we have over 5000..... i encourage all of you to take all the steps needed to take this to the next level and get these b*****ds (w***ver they are) call the news and make sure the news knows that this scam is running. call the FCC. i would like to be able to plug our phones in and do business myself.
They tried to get my credit card number. I know the drill cuz I used to do this too.
Su****ion aroused because call referred to credit card I do not have.
Company trying to scam people out of their Credit/Debit card numbers. Fraudulent!!! Automated system states that your card has been involved in a fraudulent transaction and asks for you to key in your credit/debit card number. You should never give out your card number to an incoming call, claiming you have fraud - a valid company that monitors your card for fraud would already have the card number.
