why do they call how did they get my phone number

I recieved lots of calls from this number.  Leaves a message if i would like to redue my credit cards interest and lower my payments.  I never answer the phone the message is left on my answering ma****e.  Can this be report to the police.  They keep calling and leaving message while i am at work.

I received a call from this number over the last few days offering to reduce my credit card rates to zero.  Since I was at work and was skeptical, I asked some questions.  The guy said the company name was Consumer Services (wow, imaginative name there fellas) and that they had an arrangement with the three major card companies (Mastercard, Visa, American Express) to reduce the rates.  He asked stuff like how much credit I had and what my rates were (to which I answered very generally).  Not having had the chance to investigate some more, I asked for him to call back later so I could go look them up.  The phone number was listed as "Private Office", which was clue #1.  Then I see the exact same stuff I have experienced as described on this site.  When he calls back, I will tell him that I am not interested and that he should stop calling me.

Caller calls constantly from 702-705-5073 at a place of business, when you ask who they are with they will not identify themselves and when you ask them to remove your company from their list they **** up on you.

Unsolicited call to try to get credit card numbers.  Will not stop calling even when asked to take me off their list.  Very annoying.

They call all hours of the day and nite and recorder claims they can lower my credit card interest rates..This is final offer, it says, yet they continue to call and call..Sometimes it says press 2 to stop the calls, which I have done, but they still are calling..This is very annoying and I would like them to stop..

The caller said I had been approved for a reduced credit card rate of 6.9%. When I asked him what cards, he said Visa and Mastercard. He then wanted to know my credit card numbers (all digits in full)!!! I said to tell me the last four digits of my cards that were eligible for rate reduction and the caller quickly ***g up!

I would like to know who is calling from this number.  They don't leave messages or reply when I answer yet it states they are a private office on the caller ID.  These calls come quite often and I would like them to stop.
