Leave a CommentThis is one of very many #'s that WAMU AKA Washington Mutual calls from. I have noticed some people that leave a report of these #'s on the caller ID say that they have an account with them and some people say they don't have an account with them. WAMU just randomly calls people that they can whether or not they have an account with them. They are bound to find some people that an account and thay are late. These people DO NOT GIVE YOUR personal information over the phone for any reason. They are scamming. I have been receiving 5 - 10 calls per day from 8am-9pm daily. I tell them to stop calling, of course they don't I tell them the person they are calling is not here will never be here and has never been here. THey say well if you don't give us another # for them the calls will continue. I told them that by law I am required to let them know I am recording the conversation for harassment purposes. The man said well we don't do that. I said well I do because I am sick and tired of these calls all the time, it is harassment. THe calls seemed to stop for the rest of that day. Then they called first thing this morning 3 times between 8 and 9 am. here are a few more #'s 619-471-0037, 703-2630488, 443-390-1500, 443-390-1400, 201-267-9017, 201-373-8322 (they said it was a thank you call for MADD and they will call later I said don't bother), 770-240-0000, 763-852-0014, 954-986-7299, 703-269-0648, 623-476-0009, 626-534-0250. I think this is out of hand. At least 5 calls each from these #'s come in 2 - 3 different #'s a day in a period of 2 weeks.
ive s****ed getting a call every day for the past week or so from various numbers, all apparently****ociated with wamu (according to my google searches) i dont have a credit card with them and even ran a credit report to make sure no one was committing fraud under my name...but nothing unusual appeared and i am still in good standing. I have NO idea why they keep calling me!

My ex-wife is behind, but I am not on her account. I don't know how they got my number.I want them to stop
I Keep getting these calls also ! I would like to know how they got my cell phone number? I don't have an account with them! My advise is call the Federal trade Commion on collection agenies! The more reports the better , it is a$10,000 a day fine if they break the rules can't call your work, on Sunday's and only certain times of the day ! REmind them that you are going to report thier collection activity to the Feds! ***** them the way they try to ***** you!
got my first two calls yes****ay. When I answered there was no one on the other end of the line. I called the number back, it rang once and that was it, no one answered. If it is WAMU they don't have my cell number so I'm grateful for the update will definitely not give them any information!
Got a call from them today. Guy with a very thick Indian accent. Felt and sounded like a real call from a service center in India. He told me I was late on my WaMu credit card payment. I was out of town for two weeks but I thought to myself "****, I thought I made both of my credit card payments!" So I told him to take the payment out of my bank account. He then asked me for my bank info, said they didn't have it. Thing is I know that the website has it because that's how I pay my bill each month. So I said I'd pay it when I got home. He said it's better if you pay it now, and I can provide all your other info to prove I'm really WaMu, etc, etc. I said "No, I don't feel comfortable with that." So after a few more exhortations from him the conversation ended. Then I got home tonight and checked the WaMu site - I did pay my bill, AND on time.So I don't know if the call was bogus or if WaMu has their head up their a-s. Hmmm, how could they, seeing as they're so well managed?But the point is, be very careful, no matter how much data a caller can supposedly provide, to never give out personal info over the phone. If you have to, call back the company on a phone number you know to be legit (like the service number on the back of your credit card).

i got a call from this name today it was a lady threating my life over a guy i met on the internet... My friend found this page for me it was not an automated service... Very Weird Indeed..
I also get calls from every state i dont have a card with them i think my son does but he doesnt live here when are they gonna give up they call from 800am untill900pm.7 days a week ive had it.
I called the number back and it was an automated answer 'this is washington mutual card services, please enter your 16 digit account number" well the thing is I am not late on a payment, so why the***** would they be calling me, and every day I get calls from numbers from almost every freaking state in the nation. All supposedly WAMU. I ought to put in a fake 16 digit number.
