Leave a CommentThey are NOT the "Local Police" or Police Department. They are a company by the name of Police Protective Fund out of Austin TX and Hollywood CA with callers in New Port Richey calling the State of NC on BEHALF of their own pockets. However they are claiming that they are located "IN" the NC and they do that to trick you in to thinking that it is not a professional fundraiser calling you because if you know it is a professional fundraiser calling you, then you would ask how much of the donation you make to the Fake Charity Police Protective Fund actually goes to the Local NC Police Officers. The fundraising company can pocket as much as 99% of your 100 dollar donation. A***n, that is 99 dollars of your 100 dollar donation will go to the professional fundraiser, and guess what he uses it for? He uses it to make more calls to you so that you can give him more donations for these criminals that are on the phone. www.badgefraud.org or www.pfcl.org is our site and you can learn more about this company and others that are calling you. They actually had the nerve to call and pitch us and our church runs a program that goes after fraudulent fundraisers for Police Fire and Veterans. Normally we only go after what you would call "Fake Charities" We are a Church Group based in Maryland and we do not like seeing fraudulent professional fundraisers calling our American Citizens. We advise that if yo get a call from this group. Never give them a penny and call or email your Attorney General and Secretary of State and then call and report them to yoru local police Sheriff and media or newspapers. http://www.pfcl.org/Badge_Fraud_Videos.htmlThis company is owned or controlled by a guy by the name of Phil LeConte and David Dericks and Phile and David have been sued all over this country by Attorney's General. http://www.pfcl.org/Contact.htmlThe Police Protective Fund, according to their website does not run "a ***** benefit fund for officers ****ed in the line of duty, they shut that program down after they were sued during Operation False Charity in 2009 and when they were sued and fined 450,000 by MO. And even still the so called "FUND" was never a "FUND at all but an insurance policy. They is a big difference. To report an illegal police fire of veterans fundraising call from this [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] report them to us so we can report them to the MD Attorney [email protected] you for your timeRev JamesHoly Land Spiritual Church and our mission program Police Fire Crimeline ( The Badge Fraud Tip Reporting Hotline 877-FRAUD-97BE VERY CARFUL ABOUT DELETING THIS POST. IT IS PROTECTED BY THE UNITED STATES CONS***UTION AND IS NOT ABUSIVE.THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE GROUP ON THIS PAGE< BUT IT IS ABOUT ANOTHER POLICE GROUP>And about Charity Fraud in GeneralTHIS IS OUR PUBLIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGN ABOUT POLICE FIRE VETERAN’S AND CHILDREN'S CHARITIES. It can happen anywhere and when it does we would love to hear from you. WARNING ! WARNING ! WARNING ! WARNING – WARNING – WARNING ! WARNING ! WARNING !As for the group on this page, it would be a good idea to let your fundraiser know we are out here and now you know that we are looking at them too. I would not let them misrepresent because the first time they do and we catch them, it's all over with but the crying. If you are reading this message then you were just called by a****entially fraudulent fundraiser for a Police Fire Veteran’s or Children’s Charity. Call your local police department immediately. These organization’s count of the fact that 99% of you do not follow through on your complain about them. That at***ude is going to let them call your Grandmother next and believe me when I say they WILL take advantage of her. Give everyone you know our website address www.badgefraud.org and there they will learn everything they need to know to protect themselves and their neighbor’s. No one need donate to us for us to have your backs in this matter. No Non Profit or Charity has to ever hear from us and they will not unless we find them using the fraudulent techniques that so many States have declared with one voice are illegal and deceptive. It’s quite simple; if the group is operating legally, we can’t touch them. And they should not be upset with us. They will not have to compete with these shady operators in the future and will have more successful fund drives giving them more money. We have done our job’s.WE NEED YOUR HELP – WE NEED YOUR HELP – WE NEED YOUR HELP – WE NEED YOUR HELPWe are currently tracking these people through about 1200 of their actual phone lines on message boards like this one and the only way to shake us is to c****e phone numbers. We expect that number to rise to around 10,000 in the coming months. Every time they get a new number to work from, as soon as they s**** calling they generate complaints that show up on boards like 800notes.com a**** others giving us their new phone number to track. In other words every time a fraud pops up, anywhere in the world, we know about it within a day or two of it beginning and can report it and attack it right away. Please include as much information about the call as you can. Specifically we need to know the phone number that called you? (we are building a database of every phone number that these groups use to track their call’s.)Exactly what they told you? Did they say they were a police officer or a fireman or a veteran? Active or Retired?Did they say they were calling “with” or “on behalf” of an organization?Did they say they were a charity or a non profit labor organization?Did they try to guilt you in to giving?Did they imply or infer that they were actual officers making the calls?Did they use intimidation tactics? (if you felt intimidated then yes they used them)Did they say the phrase “you not in trouble or anything” implying that you should think you might be?Did they thank you for your past donation?Did they imply a local connection? The techniques these organizations employ are by their very nature, deceptive and illegal. If they have mailed you ANY marketing material, please scan it and email it to [email protected] to include the full contents of any communication, letter, sticker, return envelope, etc etc etc. *we are only interested in what they tell you so please whit out your personal information before you email it in) we want it from every group that contacts you not just the one on this board. We are looking for sales techniques that many States have already stated are illegal. Once we find them, that information is sent to the Attorney General in the States where they are operating. Our investigation techniques differ from the Government. We investigate from the outside in while they go after the numbers from the inside out. The numbers do not matter to us, to be quite blunt about it, if the illegal techniques are there, the numbers are too. Please remember the people that employ these techniques don’t care if you are rich or poor, young or old, sick or well, Republican or Democrat, they do not care what color we are, what gender we are or whether we are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or 100 other Religion’s, they ONLY care that our money is green and spends like water. We need you, THE PEOPLE THAT THEY TRIED TO SCAM, we need you to tell your neighbors, friends,****ociates, family especially, but also, go to your churches and tell your Pastors and Priests tell the everyone who will listen about us and what we do. That helps us more than anything else. Get the word out that we are out here. Give them our web address and or email, the more people that learn about this the better it is for everyone else in the Country when the groups that use these techniques and tactics to pressure you into giving your hard earned money to them. EXAMPLE OF A CURRENT ATTACK FROM USOfficer Down Foundation,This is a message from Rev. James [email protected] of the Holy Land Spiritual Church Inc. in Maryland and its integrated auxiliary Police Fire Crimeline (The Badge Fraud Tip Reporting Hotline) www.badgefraud.orgI am only going to tell you this one time. Don't you dare come out here on to this or any other board and try to say you are trying to help fallen police officers. You are not trying to help anyone but yourselves. You think I am going to let you talk to these people who are trying to protect themselves from you in that condescending manner. Let me see if I can explain this to your two week on the job backside. Officer Down Foundation's program is to teach Cr**** Chaplaincy to Chaplains, it is not to provide benefits to the families of officers ****ed, they only pitch that because their real program would not get them one single donation, and every time you say they are providing benefits to families of officers ****ed it is a lie and a misrepresentation and is****entially criminally actionable a***nst you personally as well as your bosses David Fair, Paul Kutac, Phil Leconte and David Deriks. http://ag.ca.gov/cms_attachments/press/pdfs/n ... ce_officers.pdfI will bet you did not know that those are the same group of guys that run the Police Protective Fund and American****ociation of Police Officers and the Junior Police Academy. These men are so honest and hard working that even after several states sued the pants off of them they had to go out and s**** another identical fake charity. Remember "Operation False Charity"? Yeah, wow, they were part of it, and now look at who has come to defend them and their new carbon copy of the Multi State proven fraud the Police Protective Fund and by extension The Cr**** Chaplin Project. http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=12576824#You, a person that I already know has maybe 2 weeks experience on the phone. I am going to offer you some sage advice from one of your elders in what is left of that industry. GET A NEW JOB! This one is about to disappear. http://blogs.tampabay.com/bizarre/2010/05/wor ... er-a-tooth.html (one fundraiser for Officer Down Foundation beat up another fundraiser right in the call center a few weeks ago. Type his name in here and see what you get. https://www2.myfloridacounty.com/ccm/do/docke ... 78bd1ca0550fc96 Here is a link to the Sheriff of Pasco county, call him up and ask him to protect you from this group trying to scam you in the name of fallen officers http://www.pascosheriff.com/webapps/psofbdt.pgmCheck out the House of David Deirks, is your house that big? http://maps.google.com/maps?li=rwp&q=67+Rusty+Ln,+Mammoth+Lakes,+CA+93546Check out page 5 of the book describing the “Police Protective Fund” it’s the exact same program as that of the Officer Down Foundation. How do you suppose that Officer Down Foundation wound up with the exact same program run by the exact same guy as The Police Protective Fund? They must have bought from the Police Protective Fund since it is a program and an****et of the Police Protective Fund. Whether it is a good program or not it still belongs to the people who donated to the Police Protective Fund which paid to develop and implement it. It is an****et that has mysteriously been transferred to another non profit, The Officer Down Foundation. http://www.123people.com/ext/frm?ti=personens ... link&wrt_id=227Now, you have called into 6 of my 50 states and misrepresented yourselves, Maryland, ******ia, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee and North Carolina and that is a problem for your organization because that is where my organization is located and our mission is to protect charitable dollars specifically raised in the name of Officers ****ed in the Line of Duty. Now let me tell you what my organization does. We search out and report fraudulent Police Fire Veteran's and Children's Charities and their professional fundraisers. We protect the money of the people who protect us. If anyone reading this wants to help with a donation for us to keep going after these scams, feel free to email me and lets talk. [email protected] And unlike David Fair attempting to claim 501 c3 status before it is granted, Churches, like the Holy Land Spiritual Church in the United States are granted automatic 501 c3 status so you know you can deduct your donation from your taxes when the law allows. We also recruit former professional police fundraisers as volunteers to help us go after groups like yours and you would be welcome to join us as well. And we always want to hear any tips on fraudulent activity in public safety charities so we can report them too. The days of diverting money from non profits and charities that really give their money to the families of officers ****ed in the line of duty, are OVER!What a coincidence that would be huh? A church and a Minster going after a Chaplain, I would say God called one of us and the other has a big problem not just on earth, but after life too. Do you know how much easier our job would be if your Officer Down Foundation did not exist?I am not the kind of minister you are probably familiar with that gets up on Sunday morning to preach about Fire and Brimstone. I am the kind of minister that BRINGS Fire and Brimstone to your doorstep.See the problem for your organization is that because of your fraudulent activity, you are making us expend our donor’s money to investigate you because you see, that is what OUR donors (Holy Land Spiritual Church) gave their money too and they knew full well that they were giving their money for us to go after groups like yours. That would be the exact opposite of your group where the donor’s think they are giving to the families of officers ****ed in the line of duty but what you dont tell them is that the money they donate is really going to David Fair's personal mission of this "Cr**** Chaplain" concept. Well if you did not know we existed before I am not surprised, they never tell you phone ****ey's anything, but you are about to know we exist now. It is our duty and responsibility to protect our donor’s money and the only way for us to do that in the case of the Officer Down Foundation is for them to shut down voluntarily or we must sue the pants off of your group until you are ended. Oh and that is not all you have to look forward too, in North Carolina where you are calling, what you are doing is considered to be a class H felony.GET A NEW JOB! THE FREE RIDE IS OVER! WE ARE COMING TO SHUT YOU DOWN!Sincerely, Rev. Obviously a scam.
who is calling from this number? i am on every do not call list available. is this another scam?!
PPA just called my number. I asked what % went to the police and the person told me 100% thats why they only wanted $15. When I asked him if it was a scam he said "thank you and have a good day" haha. So I called the number that was on my caller ID and a voicemail came on. It said to leave a message and someone would call back. So you know what I did? I left them the number for my local police department :-) and you should do the same. Don't ***** with me PPA!!!!
PPF raised nearly $6 million in 2006, and donated only $37,000 of that to officers' families. Consumers who complained tell us they used guilt, intimidation, harassment, etc, to get money from them. http://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2008/PPF_ordered_not_to_contact_Missourians/
This outfit calls our home phone EVERY SINGLE DAY with no one there on the other end. I beleive they use a computer to place the call and check to see if our number is on the Do Not Call list. If this isn't harassment, I don't know what is. I have emailed a complaint to the State Attorney General's office. They need to be stopped.
They have been calling my Mom, who is in bad health and elderly. I plan to report them to our local Police/Sheriff Dept. and TV Stations. I feel if our locals were in need they would contact us personally. Plus, why be in a job that does not offer life or health insurance. My Mother is in very need her self, she barely has money for food for her table. Now I ask you what kind of protection is this? To take money from the poor who can not feed themselves by giving them a sad story. Do not be fooled by this scan and this is all it is. Why would the Meckleburg Police who is in Charlotte, NC be doing this for "all" across the US? I think the Mecleburg Police should sue these people for saying they are from them. God bless, Ann
After days of calls from Citicorp who I have no business relationship with, today I received a call from Police Protection. It is all a scam. Of course because I have caller ID I do not answer any calls.
I have gotten calls from this number for over 6 months. I really do not know who they are no one ever answers when I call it back. I am on the do not call register. So why do these people keep calling us?
These ****s just called me. They pretended they were looking for someone else with this number, then launched into the "are you the head of household" spiel when I told them they had the wrong number. I told them I wasn't interested, and to take me off their call list. The guy wouldn't. I told him it was illegal not to do so, and that I was reporting them to the FCC. Which I just did!
This Police Protective caller is annoying. They **** up on you when you say "no thank you". My son is a police officer and if he ever treated people like these rude folks he would be fired.
They called here twice today, I let the answer ma****e take the call - of course they didn't leave a message.
Today I received a call from this number, listed as "Police Protection" on my caller ID. Noone ever said anything and I found it quite odd so I looked the number up on reverse search and, lo and behold, I come across this.
This number called today but there was just silence. Caller ID said Police Protection. I called the number back and a recording said they were doing their annual fund raising campaign and please leave my name and number and they will call back. Sure I will - not!!!!
I saw "Police Protect.." on my Caller ID (thank goodness I have it!) and did not pick up.
Received a call from the Police Protection today. When they asked for a donation, and I said I would donate, then they had a girl named Wendy call me back to affirm my address (for a second time). After she affirmed my address, she said they were having problems with phone interference and wanted to know if I had caller ID. I said I did. She asked me what did I see on caller ID. I told her I saw the words, Police Protection. She then asked me what phone number did I see. I told her that I don't remember. This questioning did not sound right, so I Googled the number and came across these comments. Someone needs to do so****ing about this scam organization.
These Scammers called tonight looking for donations for police. My number is on the do not call list.
Received a call today from this phone number.Glad I have caller ID>.. I never pick up numbers I do not recognize...Most of the time, I even have the ringer turn off...Can people find so****ing better to do with their time??
They call all the time late at night when my kid is sleeping and always wake her! When I pick up there is no one there.
Had a call on caller ID that showed just what you said Police Protection. Call came in while I was out but they didn't leave a message on the answering ma****e. I'm from Charlotte, but no longer living there, so was kinda concerned since all my family still lives there. Googled the number and GLAD I DID!
Police Protection is a SCAM outfit located in Cherlotte N.C., they constantly violate Federal and State DoNotCall lists and FTC Regulations. DO NOT be scamed by these Scammers. I called Local Police Dept, they said DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY or personal information.
Was looking this number up for my parents. they called and didnt say a word, and it said on the caller ID about a police protective office. It most not be true i dont think a the police dept. would do that.
