Leave a CommentI got another call from this outfit, trying to sell me some get-rich-at-home scam. I have already reported them once to the Do Not Call Registry.
Knowing that there is a law about unsolicited calls from a business in which you have no established relationship with, I called my cell provider, AT&T, who helped me in a few ways.1) they gave me a nice credit on my bill2) they informed me they have a lawsuit a***nst this company3) They gave me an email address to the FTC where you can file a complaint - [email protected]. I liked that third part, perhaps we can put this guy down forever
I got a call from this number too and didnt answer the phone, how do they get my cell number? What is this and how do I stop it?Thanks
Caller is "Jerry" in North Carolina. He offers to tell you how to make thousands of dollars a month introducing people to a miracle product, then asks you to call him back. What the business really is, is a web-order greeting card service. "Jerry" makes it sound like he invented the technology and can make you rich selling greeting cards this way. But in fact, the internet is saturated with quality printing and dropshipping services. Although you are offered free samples and a free distributor account, deals like this are usually limited so that all you can do is see how the procedure works and you usually have to pay for an upgrade to a regular account in order to actually earn sales commissions. This may very well be a legitimate business, but they shouldn't be cold-calling random citizens to try to recruit distributors. Even the worst MLM's don't resort to that level.
What - you didn't take the call? I took it and it was a distant rich uncle from Nigeria. I'm asian, but apparently - I have a Nigerian uncle. He told me that I inherited $55,000,000. All I had to do was send him my bank account number so it could be routed into it. That's it. Now, I'm rich. Well, once the transfer comes through.
Yes, sales call. A recording with a guy named Jerry that wants to tell you how you can make bunches of money working from home only 1hr a day! You know the drill, weve all heard it a million times for years from these types. I would be surprised if anyone at all bites on these scams anymore.
This message s****ed before my outgoing message was finished, so my ma****e didn't record the name of the company or caller. He was clearly selling so****ing.
