Got a call today, from someone who sounded like he was from India - even though the number was local, there was alot of static like it was over an ip connection.  He said he was calling to teach me how to recognize if my computer is getting a virus.  I think he was trying to get my ip address.  Total scam.

705-749-5676 calls every day in the middle of the day and doesn't say anything.  When I dial it back, the message indicates the number is not in service.

rang and ***g up. last night at this time same number called ... it was a telemarketer offering a free cell phone.

This is a scam saying that you have won a cell phone and they will ask you alot of questions like how much do you pay a month for your cell phone.. well if you were with the company that was calling (Bell) then they would know....I called Bell about this and the customer service agent said it was a scam and to not answer any questions that they ask you.

Got a call from this number today, guy said he was Mark from Bell Mobility.  He said that our number was eligible for a free cell phone (interesting that he called our land line).  The connection he was calling from sounded so terrible (definitely wasn't good advertising for a cell phone company..lol).  It sounded like he was calling from a subway.  Either way, sounded like a fraud to me.

Got a call from this number. Said his name was Bruce Reed and was calling on behalf of Bell Ca***a from Vancouver, BC. Wanting me to sign up for 3 cell phones. He kept requesting my SIN number which I would not give him. He called 5 times yes****ay. When I told him I was going to call Bell to confirm this offer, he was persistant in telling me not to. I haven't had a call yet today, but, it's still early.

Has called me approx 8 times in the last 3 days and when I phone back, apparently the number is not in service.  Afraid to answer it now.

I received a call from this number, but it was from someone I knew in the states that has a totally different number.  This is the first time this number has come up on my call display when my friend has called.  I called the number back and the message said that it was out of service.Strange!!!!!

This number continues to call and there is never anyone there....just a beep from a fax ma****e.

When I answer all you hear are beeps like it is a fax ma****e.  We have received this almost daily for months.

I get called, no one is ever on the other end!

It's not strange at all. It's someone calling using a VOIP line. It could anyone, calling you through a voice over ip connection. Someone calling from skype or any other voice over ip service, can come up as this number. The STATIC is likely a bad connection related to the Voice Over IP technology but it's 90% someone who knows you, a friend overseas or someone using an internet cafe.

Ya, we get the same thing from that number, about twice a day and all?! So once we answered it, and it was just static, and we waited a while to calling "hello?!" and all, then eventually ***g up. We were still quite curious and all as to who this is right? Because it seems local, and when we called back it said this number has been disconnected...creepy. That was yes****ay, and we haven't had a call today, so I don't know, it's quite odd.
