This is a big scam and we almost fell for it its so good. my wife actually deposited the check then realizing so****ing wasnt right alerted them. That led to other problems.The scam works like this.They send you a check for $3985 and say its to pay the taxes on your winnings. You have to wire it to them after which they release the amount of the winnings $250,000 to you.But its a very well made counterfeit check. The scammers have you cash a fake check, send them money and leave you responsible for the amount.This will go on for reasons these *******s know. The FBI wont touch it if its under a million. The bank wont pursue it unless they suffer a loss but they are coming after you not them.This is out of Ca***a so a report to the police is meaningless.Dont fall for it. Its a scam and a big one.

If you cash that check, you'll be sorry. By the time anyone finds out it's a well-done fake, you will have wired them the "taxes" and be responsible for the entire check amount.
