I received 2 calls from this number within 8 minutes. Caller ID showed "ALERT". No message left. When I called it back, I received a message saying that ff I wanted to be on a DO NOT CALL list for this number, press 1, Sorry for inconvenience, will be removed within 48 hrs I pressed 1--we'll see if that was a mistake......

I'm so sick of getting these calls now that I got a way to stop them, I'm passing this comment that helped me; Here's a copy/paste of a comment that works: Ugh, I was getting calls from 708-529-47** (last 2 digits vary) and just couldn't take it anymore. Finally I came across another blog comment for this do not call service at 866-246-7196 that provides this service to some companies that call consumers that want to minimize complaints and save time not calling people that don't want to be called. I gave them the caller's phone number which they confirmed to be on their list and the receiving phone number that they added to the do not call request list.

This number repeatedly call my home number! Never a message left, and the caller ID shows ALERT. That's not very nice, someone could get scared receiving a phone call from ALERT! How is that permitted? Why are they calling? They NEVER leave a message!!!
