Why can't I delete this number from my phone??????????????

It went to my un setup voice mail.

I received an alert that I had a voicemail message from AT&T. When I went to listen, this number appeared, but it was a message from someone I know! When I tried to call the number back, it asked me to enter a pin. I have several of these numbers listed on my recent call list.

I've never dialed this number but I see it often in text messages telling I have a voicemail and to call it (which I've not done). I was curious if this is a scam/spam and called AT&T using customer service number 611. I asked if when I tap on my phone's image of a phone that goes to my voicemails, is it going to a specific phone number. The customer service service rep said 'yes' so I asked if she can tell me the phone number and she did something with her computer and read off to me the phone number that's the subject of my inquiry. So it seems the number is legimately for AT&T and not a hack (but I suppose someone might be able to ****f it like they seem to do with other phone numbers.

No one there it’s for you to respond and they can connect to your phone service it’s a hack

Annoying repeated phone call with no voice mail message. If they left one I might call back 10K times to annoy them.

This person is constantly calling me. They also go by the number: 844-718-9339. They say they are with the Social security administration on my voicemail. I have blocked this number since.

Isn't there something that can be done by the police or phone company to stop these unsolicited calls?

I get messages from this number all the time but I do not answer them. What is going on?

4/24/13 called husbands phone and said they were going to kill him. Number from Hinsdale, Il. Since there are so many complaints am going into police dept. this evening.

Thanks Joseph for the info. I presume that it was gathered from some detective work that was accurate. At any rate, this is just another comment to add about that phone number. Someone called me from that number on Nov. 7, 2009.

This number keeps calling my phone, they need to stop.
