Received a call from this number on 3/4/2026 claiming to be a debt collector for an old, already paid off payday loan; the woman calling was aggressive and rude, refusing to give any information about the debt in question or to connect us with her supervisor so we could provide proof that the debt had already been paid years ago. The phone number comes up as belonging to Sioux City Truck Sales, but I believe that the number was actually spoofed by the fake collection agency.

This person called claiming I have a payday loan from 2020 that I stopped paying and they were going to garnish my wages unless I agreed to pay a portion. I have never had a payday loan nor have I ever received any documents about this saying I owe anything. He said i have been noticed by mail and proceeded to name my address along with my social. I have nothing on my credit report that can back up his claim!!!
