Got a call from this number (7139009698) saying I received a payday loan that I never paid back. Refuses to give information on the company and says that he is serving me papers. I told him to go ahead and send them as I had contact the Attorney Generals office of here and in TX.
Threating pho calls and harrasing messages by a tony and Jim they are scandelous.
He says his name is Michael Mills. calling from a law office saying that I got a payday loan that I have never repaid. I have never recieved or applied for a payday loan. He tells me that I will be served and need to be in court monday but will not tell me where this is all coming from.
called me repeatedly on my cell phone, both times I could barely understand him between indian accent, bad signal, and buses idling nearby, by the 5th call in a row I managed to make out 'Law Suit' I laughed, said I got the call traced and would send Tony to come round and see to him, never heard back a***nAttempted to call the number back via payphone, could not be reached, between the accent, odd phone number, the fact I couldn't return the call, and of course the fact I still haven't seen any paperwork for this law suit leads me to beleive it's a scammer
the caller called me and left me threaning messages three times. he then called my work and left a message. I called him back and he supossidley read a paper saying I had a pay day loan amount of almost $8500 while i work fast food not able to get that. he had my address and my social security number. i had a very loud agrument with this guy saying i will be arrested i told him he stole my information and he said how could i prove it i told him he wasnt american and he was a f***** indian. i turned it in to the police and to social sercurity. and to the attorney general.
The caller claims to be a debt collector, but never tells me what company he works for. He calls over and over a***n leaving threatening messages - way beyond "aggressive" phone calls trying to recover a debt. He mentioned he knew my SS#, where I live, and even said he would send a car to come get me! One message was just him saying my name over and over a***n...then "where are you?" This is not legit, and it cannot be legal. Someone please help.
I have the same problem with the same number. The man on the phone leaves threatening *****ges. He even called once, just saying my name over and over a***n, then called a***n to tell me he will see me in court. This goes far above and beyond debt collecting - this is flat out harassment, and it is illegal.
I have been getting several phone calls from this number, and the individual on the line says that he is Eric Dermont, from some Law Office in Houston, TX. He claims that he is calling in regard to some outstanding debt in the amount of $1,000, but cannot provide any details as to who this client he is supposedly representing is. The calls come to both my mobile, and also to my work phone now. Sometimes the last four numbers of the call will be different, but always the same person. Also this person speaks broken English in an Indian accent. When I ask them for their physical mailing address in Houston, he cannot provide this information. He also will not provide any of his legal credentials, so I can check with Texas Atty General's office.
