Leave a CommentCalled but left no message - wish they wouldn't bother. If it's for the mayor race....well, quit calling, I know what I am doing. Thank you!
This is a call from Houston Mayor ******* Parker. A barely literate guy mumble/stumbled through a script wanting to know if I knew this or that, and what is of concern to my family. WHAT'S OF CONCERN IS ANY POLITICIAN WHO MAKES MY PHONE RING MORE THAN ONCE. Any phone call at all is too much, but I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt, as long as they explain why they're bothering me, whether they gen my answering ma****e nor not. . . . . . . . . . .. . . Naturally, I'll vote a***nst this obnoxious pervert who has chosen an offensive lifestyle. Not because she's *****, but because she shows no respect.
Calls every day at least two-three times since 10-15-11. No message; ****s up.
One way to get them to leave you alone is to pick up the phone and tell them to. This time of year -- with an election only weeks away -- there will be a sudden surge in the number of really flaky calls. Politicians gave themselves a huge loophole to bother us, when they were creating and passing telemarketing laws. One thing they do, in order to avoid having us know who to vote a***nst, is mask the source and purpose of the calls until they get us on the line. There are several politicians who are worse about this than others. Kristi Thibaut is high on the list. It's a shame, really. She has a truly cute****, and I might otherwise vote for her, on that basis alone. The telephone harassment, however, far outweighs any other consideration. I don't care if she has invented the cure for cancer or cut the federal debt by 75%. The greed, indifference to our peace and privacy, and general rudeness her telephone campaigns have exhibited over the years make me unalterably opposed to any candidacy she may seek. The current mayor is, of course, repugnant to me on the same basis that Mrs. Thibaut might otherwise be attractive. Her choice, no matter how perverted some people may call it, is hers. But, there's hypocrisy afoot. She chooses to do behind closed doors what she wishes, without any regard for what the rest of us think. Yet . . . what WE CHOOSE TO DO behind closed doors, she feels en***led to interrupt, disrupt, and just generally be an.... (Hmm... the four legged animal which has the same name as the body part I identified earlier as being cute.) about it. So, even though I might otherwise vote for her, I will continue to adamantly oppose any election bid made by this hypocrite. Part of the problem in all of this telephone harassment during election cycles is that, pretty much, the only way to get it to stop is to have the very people who do it pass a law to prohibit it. One other way comes to mind, though. Instead of anonymous postings and unfounded "spammer for sure" comments, we should talk to these callers, find out who they are, and then publish their iden***ies far and wide. Use Facebook, My****e, Twitter, and whatever other medium we can find. If Candidate X has been placing calls from 713-993-7982, and ***dreds of people are up in arms about it, the calls will quickly stop. Now, that said, I have no clue who has been making these calls. Each of the four calls to my telephone came when I wasn't around.....and each time, they refused to leave a message. Some (legitimate) politicians do have their callers leave a message...and not call back! I don't mind a call -- a single call -- from a real human being. Robocalls and ****-up calls, though would turn me a***nst my own sibling. If I get a chance to answer the phone, I will most****uredly find out who's calling, and post that information for all to use. I do appreciate knowing that others have been getting the same sort of calls. It tells me it's not a friend who's not sure this is my number, or some other legitimate caller who chooses not to leave a message.
Continue to call two to three times a day seven days a week. won't leave a message. A spammer for sure.
10/23/2011: Su****ious. Think this number is a local-Houston number being used in a money scam. When tried to call back got an anonymous message.
