Received this spam mortgage text last night. Coincidentally my friend just added my cell number to her 'textfree' app from Pinger, Inc. yes****ay afternoon and sent me a test text. Is it possible that Pinger is sharing recipient cell numbers with third parties if the app user doesn't have a privacy setting set correctly? This ****es me off, as I don't want a bunch of spam texts to my work cell phone.
