Same thing here, I got two calls from them today and they refused to tell me who they were and then s****ed asking me for some personal info. so I told them to FO and blocked their #.

Hey, NO IT WAS NOT, quit shilling for these people.  They've called my 94 year mother several times, a woman who has absolutely no debt; in fact, she could probably buy most of these telemarketing, heartless vultures several times over.  Their ethics and practices are similar to bottom feeders, i.e., they have no information on anyone they call except a last name, and they simply plug it in to the Internet, grab the list of numbers for a certain area code, and dial for dollars, without any substantive facts to back up their efforts.  They're trolling, hoping for a hit.  They are harrassing idiots, plain and simple.  I don't begrudge an ins***ution attempting to collect so****ing that is owed to it, but the processes these people use are ****** and ill-advised.  So before you s**** defending these guys, do some research.Or . . . maybe you're just one of them?

These people buy legitimate in stats debt paper.And if they have you info then you owe some debt.Please stop lying to them and to other people on line and probably to yourself and handle your situation.Have a nice successful day

I s****ed getting calls from 714-380-5875 or 714-380-5863 or 714-380-5868 a few month back. Initially, it s****ed out with an automated system asking whether this number belongs to "Christoff".  It said to press 1 if it's Christoff.  Press 2 if it is not Christoff.   When I pressed 2, it asked me to hold, so someone could help me remove the number from their system.   The first few times, I just **** up.  It kept calling me on a regular basis, so one day I waited for someone to come on line.  I asked him to remove the number from the system.  He said that he would do so. The calls stopped for a couple months, then it s****ed a***n this month. Now they ask for "Christopher."I now put together a log.  Since they have been calling my cellphone which I have the same number for the last 8 or 10 years, there is no reason for them to keep harassing me.  I can actually go back to all my cellphone statements to find out all the times they have been calling me.So far, I have asked them to stop calling 3 times.  If they call a***n, I am just going to keep on logging it.  Since they are a collection agency, and I have worked in the legal field.  I will take legal actions and take them to the court.  Maybe we can all get a settlement for the harassment.  Let's all keep a log!

One more thing...never send these people even one penny.If you do you may s**** the statute of limitations over and then they will have grounds for a lawsuit. Repeat!!!!  Do not send any form of payment. If they could sue you, it probably already would have happened and it would have been done through the mail....never the phone. If they are calling, they are powerless. They are probably nice people just having a bad day....not.

Do not give these clowns a second thought. They have no ability to get anything from you even if you owe the debt. Statute of Limitations is probably up otherwise they would not have your record.Since when does a company ask for an attorney name before they sue you? What a joke.They must have all been abused as children.

Received similar phone call from this company.  I was told that I am being sued and that they needed the name of my attorney so that i have legal representation.  After asking politely to what this was in regards he c****ed his tone and became very aggressive.  I am also wanting the name of the agency that should be contacted to report a scam or phishing operation.

I am wondering how you know what government agency to contact in case these people call back?

We have a message left on our ma****e asking us to return a call and if we didn't he would not be able to help us out of this situation. I could not understand all of his message, so I googled the number and name on our phone. I called and left a message at this number explaining we owe no debt so obviously have the wrong number they have found to put with my name. Do these people just go on the net a pick all the names they can find and s**** calling them???? Very irritating.

I have s****ed receiving harassing calls from this company, but have never received any legal paperwork or do***entation. I have paid off several debts over time, and am pretty familiar with the way a reputable company works. I spoke very calmly with one rep over the phone, but then he s****ed getting abusive, screaming at me that they were going to sue me. I've been there, done that, not a big deal. The debt they say I owe is not large, but I believe I paid if off long ago. In fact, when I asked them the name of the card or company I owed money to, the rep s****ed stammering and couldn't give me a definite answer. Anyway, i quietly ***g up, and have spoken to a state and federal agency that will investigate THEM. Most places I've owed money to have contacted me directly, no games, written information, call back numbers and company names that were obvious, nothing like this place.

Received a call from this agency WorldWide Recovers/ same from a man called Tony Beretta 714-380-5865.  This is a scam.  PAY ATTENTION.First RED FLAG for me was:  "hello is this "your name"?" I did not confirm my name, so they mentioned my SS# and asked me to confirm if my SS# matched with my name. BIG NO NO.  No company/agency/even the FBI would give/ yell out a social number just like that.  Please contact your local Police to report threats from these people.  BeWare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They do have legit info on you, so that they can process their filthy scam...They are targetting the poor people that have been in debt at one point.  Little did they know, that my debt was resolved long time ago. SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are Worldwide Recoveries plus 10 other AKA's.  They do not follow the FDPA, they do not respect Statute of Limitations. They call relatives, friends, landlords, employers and when told to stop they won't.  You may not even owe a debt.  They look at your credit record and then they find so****ing and s**** harassing you. Intimidating you.  Even threatened to come to house and commit ****** harm.  If people do send money, it never gets to the creditor, it goes in their pockets.  Then you still owe the money.  They are rated F with the BBB.  Also look for 1-866-897-9058,714-380-5865,866-897-9080 and on and on.  DONT SEND MONEY!!!  And ***ody who calls you gives you their real name.  Don't give them any info, no address or banking or credit info.  They are so bad that it took them 8 months from the time they called my sister in law to the time they called a workplace in Singapore (no kidding) to finally getting a mobile number. DUH.  I found them in five minutes.  Great collection agency. They will try and talk over you so the trick to get them off the phone is to talk over them, remain calm, get them so f****ered they **** up on you.  It gets to be amusing over time.  We have yet to see any paperwork with any claim of any debt that we can dispute.  And when I told them the debt they were trying to collect had been paid off, they went spastic and then I said the Statute of Limitations had run out anyway and they said they didn't care, it did not matter, and that I was a thief.  What a joke coming from them.  This 714 number is attached to another new address, they c****e them like we c****e socks.  Coastal Mitigations, Shekinah, Coastal****et Management Group, Luis E. Vasquez, Capital Recovery Services Group, Empire Recovery. STAY AWAY!  What else can I say?  The ONLY way to get them off the phone is to harass them back.

THESE PEOPLE ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY. THEY DO NOT RESPECT THE FDCPA NOR THE FACT THAT A BASIC 411 REVERSE SEARCH WOULD HAVE LET THEM KNOW THEY WERE CALLING THE WRONG HOUSE. A DONNA MENDEX IS THE PERSON WHO SET US OFF AS SHE SAID WE NEEDED TO PAY OUR BILLS AND HAD BEEN CALLING FOR A DIFF. FAMILY. THEY ARE NOT WORLD WIDE RECOVERIES THEY ARE WELTMAN, WEINBERG & REISS THAT OPERATES A COLLECTIONS AGENCY OF WORLDWIDE RECOVERIES. THE TOLL FREE NUMBER TO THEM 1-866-897-9079 WILL AT LEAST GET YOU ON THE PHONE WITH A PERSON UNLIKE THE CALLER ID NUMBER THEY PROVIDE.

When I call the number they only answer with "corporate office, please hold" then nothing. Not sure what it is.

Got a letter from a Worldwide Recoveries located at 2414 S Fairview, Suite 210 in Santa Ana, CA 92704.  Their 800 number is 866-897-9079 but their local number is 714-380-5875.  It is stating I owe money from so****ing I'm not aware of. Not sure if its phishing or not? The Account manager's name is John Slater; however when you call, you get an answering ma****e asking you to leave your number....NOT!

This number was on my caller ID.  They left a message saying he was Don Terry and looking for folks with a similar last name and with a case number and said to call back.  Don't know anything yet.

Have had the same problem as Steve above.  I'm pretty sure they're some type of collection agency but they want personal information to discuss who they're collecting for.Could be a new type of "phishing".  Basically told them to FO.

They keep calling for the people that had the line before me and they some sort of collection agency.  The guy was very rude and I had informed him to never call this line a***n.

I keep getting calls from this number and keep telling them they have the wrong # they dont believe I'm not the person there looking for..and they wont tell me who they are.
