Here is the message they left “Hi good afternoon this message is for ———- my name is Alexis calling in for legal department of _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ and ***ociates reason for this call today is because we cannot send do***ents to you a few days ago those do***ents are in regards to a complaints and follow up here in our office which does require media attention it is imperative for us to hear back from you as soon as possible so I can further discuss the details of this matter if you could just please give us a call back at 714-453-9292 Thomas, please refer to case number 120 2910 also some questions for you regarding property at _________.Thank you for your time.

Lady on the phone presented herself as "Jay" she said I was stated down as a personal reference for my sister in law and they were hoping to talk to her regarding a complaint filed with their office. I took down a message last Tuesday and today Thursday ( 2 days later) they are calling non-stop.

They are who they say they are which is a company they just try to help you out at the end of the day either a settlement or if you can’t pay in full, so your credit won’t be affected later on

About a complaint filed inoffice. Said paperwork was sent a few days ago. No mail was received

Calling regarding an outstand balance or some sort.

They wanted my credit card information to settle a debt I had on my credit report from 2015. But I've never had an open credit line in 2015

They gave me my mothers name and birthdate without me asking which sounds legit right, but then when I asked her more information about the case number and what company was the complain from she says she couldn't give me that information that she was just an ***istant making calls and they had sent a letter on the mail but they haven't received a response. I blocked them.

the caller wanted to know if I was the contact person for a X daughter in law.

Said her name was Bree and she is calling because I have a complaint against me and it is imperative to call back.

Said that they were handling pre-trial work for a case against someone named Robert (same last name as mine), and that he had listed me as a personal reference. I stated I don’t know anyone by that name, and the last was fairly nice and said she’d take my number out because they probably got me mixed up with someone else by the same name (it’s a common name).

I don’t understand how no one can arrest these people who are calling from these illegal spams this is illegal what they are doing

The caller, Carla, stated she was calling from the legal department of Stafford Group & Associates & that I was listed as a reference for my daughter, whom they have been unable to contact. They said it was in regards to a complaint they had received. Carla then gave the number to call and a case number. My wife & daughter both got similar VMs.

Claims I am a reference for someone named joseph cantu, couldn’t get a hold of him regarding a complaint

Exactly the same call as what I’ve read hear. Sounded legitimate and intimidating but she got mad when I asked her to send it via certified mail. The number was 714-453-9416

Called saying that they had sent me paper work first they said name was Stacy then Betsy had left me a vm in with a unknown caller Id. When I called back they told me something about a Nordstrom card and supposed property that I own.

Someone named Victor called me from 714-453-9292 and asked about a past debt with Kay jewelers, saying it needed to be paid immediately . He offered to take half down being very pushy to get my card information. I hung up half way though the phone call and he left another voicemail giving me his “direct line” which was 714-453-9117

They had a papear sent to me and had my address and told me it was imperative to get ahold of them to take care of this matter. Then victor calls me sayo the same thing with my wrong birthday

Had sent papers and had not heard back from me about a complaint they received. I did not receive any papers and she knew my address.

Same as above, they're 3rd and 4th party debt collectors who have purchased past unpaid debts that have surpassed the time limit to collect. They harrass the person they're calling and try to scare you into thinking a legal claim has been filed against you to get you to pay debts that they have purchased for pennies on the dollar because they can't legally be collected from the original debtors.
