Changed paypal account to business. Why doesn't paypal do something to prevent this?

Someone with the name Mryna John hacked my PayPal acct and turned it into a business acct with a credit card I currently do not own and is not mine. I tried deleting info and paypal will not let me. It states its a highly restricted account. Which is really weird.

No call. Hacked PayPal account & turned into a business just like everyone else. Used the name Benson Jessie, but same phone number & Garden Grove, CA address as others have mentioned. I called PayPal & they fixed my account & the hacker didn't make any charges. As others said, the name that comes up w/ that address is Becky Jones & there's another phone number listed also, but I didn't call.

As has happened to others on this site, a hacker gained access to my PayPal account and used this phone number to allow transactions.

Just like many others - used this number and the same Garden Grove address to hack into and turn my PayPal account into a business account. It looks like PayPal could shut this down since the exact same phone number and address continue to be used.

This address and phone was used to hack my PayPal account on Thanksgiving. Changed the name on my account and everything. It was very hard to close down.

Soooo... yeah are we starting a group law suite against Pay Pal for breach our our private financial accounts? Looks like these people did this to a lot of us and Pay Pal has not done anything to notify, fix or be accountable for their mistake.

Hacked into my PayPal account using the same number and address as the others posted here. He changed my account name account type to a business. I had to call and get my account restored with PayPal. The cell phone number is linked to another name and address that I’ll be reporting to law enforcement.

I posted yesterday but wanted to mention the last two transactions I made through my PayPal were to Chewy and BigLots online. I suspect the fraud is coming in through one of these channels.

This phone # was used by a hacker who accessed my PayPal and set up a business under Dan Atwood, phone 714-539-6684, address 13118 Cypress St. Apartment 3. Garden Grove, California. Also added a bank card so they could attempt to collect money. PayPal fixed the issues and closed the fraudulent account over the phone. Photos of the info including the card number added are reported to authorities.

Someone hacked my personal PayPal account this morning and turned it into a business account. This number was used and the account was listed under Rosemary Butler in Garden Grove, CA. Closed my PayPal account I've had open since 2007 but not taking any chances as my bank was the only source it was tied to.

They some how reverted my personal account to a business account. Frustrating. Trying to get my account removed now. This number and the name Daphne Hewlett were used to hack our PayPal account. They turned it from a personal account to a business, added an address in Garden Grove CA, and even added a credit card. Thankfully, we got that crap shut down and changed our info before any fraudulent payments were sent or received.

These people think they are smart but when you discover their landline its easy to find their real phone number. I called them and one woman answered, when i asked for Rebbeca Jones a man grabbed the phone and asked who this was and acted dumb as if their cell number and address isn’t listed. This number is linked to an attempted breech of an Amazon account. They attempted to start up a business account using this number, in my Amazon acct.
