this robert sterling has been calling me to about credit card debt, i asked for them to send me a letter saying what i owed but had not recieved one. the credit card is mine and showing on my credit but the amount he saying i owe is way way more than what my credit report says! and i do remember talking to him but don't recall the payments he said i agreed to, so he gets smart with me and says we are being recorded and to keep my C**** C****E and their going to file suit.!!!

On 03/11/2011 I received on my cell phone a blocked number call from a "I am a very angry large black man", Who called me by name asking if I knew that I was ordered to be in a hearing today stating that he represents a legal process serving company, notifying me of court case 6182-DJE     He then stated that I must call "Attorney Robert Sterling with the law office of Cohen and****ociates at phone number (714) 888-6886 ex.120 rite now in order for him to file a cease and****ist order so the arresting officers that were dispatched will be called off before they arrive."      After resear****g what little information I was offered with the California Barhttp://members.calbar.ca.gov/fal/MemberSearch ... y=10#searchlinkI found that The law office of Cohen and****ociates does not exist and there is no Attorney Robert Sterling within the state of California. but did find quite a few cases concerning that name in court cases concerning fraud, taxes, misrepresentation ect... while I searched for my name and the case number I was given on some of the 21 city courts within the 714 area code but found nothing that matched up. I have decided not to believe him. Instead I plan to await his next call and ask for clarification on what kind of scam he is up to.

THEY HAVE CALLED ME NUMEROUS TIMES AND LEFT NASTY MESSAGES ON MY ANSWERING MA****E AND THEN WHEN I CALL BACK NOTHING DONT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.

I am repeatedly getting calls at my job.  I have asked them repeatedly not to call me on my job on either of my numbers.  They will not give me an address so I can put it in writing.  So how do I dispute so****ing that I do not know what it is or where they are coming from or an address to put the information in writing.  They say I got a summons to appear in court and that I have 2 hours to contact these people.  That has got to be away to stop this.  It is totally harrassing and should be a***nst the UCC if it is not already.  I am doing further research to see what can be done.  I have contact my police depart on these types of cyber crimes and I have even contact the FBI who they also included in the conversation.  Nothing happened and no results or consequences.  I have lost thousands of dollars and have learned a lesson very well.  I am almost to the point of bring it on.  I am tired of this happening and I know that it is to be in writing but how do you put so****ing in writing when you do not have an address. Person's name is James Jordon who is a process server of some sort and I am to call Robert Sterling at 714-882-3477 within 2 hours.

If they really want money they would send me proof that i owed it to them, and they would not go off on me they called me several different names they have been harrassing me for over a month now they told me i had court the other day but i called the courthouse to see and there was nothing i tried to get an address from them and they told me no and asked why i wanted it and i told them my lawyer told me to try and get it from them so i can press charges they s****ed to scream at me and told me my lawyer was ****** and to tell her to shut up and he kept screaming at me cause i told him what they were doing was illegal so if you know the address to there or anything legit that i can give to my lawyer the police dept and to put on the papers that i have at the house that ihave to send to the attorney generals office i would like it. They told me they couldnt give me any info on them cause they dont know who iam for all they know i could be a terroist and then he played a song called b****h to me  and ***g up so i doubt they are legit and if they are well then they really messed up. Oh and they have been telling me they have sent me papers for court but i gave them the wrong address not they have the right one because i almost sent them the money they wanted until i was advised not to by my lawyer she said to ask them to send proof of my debt which they can not do which by law they have to cause i have a right to see it if they could not send me anything then dont send them money until they do and if they ever do i will be pressing charges.

Your comment is very misleading: 1.  If you owe a debt you have a m**** obligation to pay it back... 2. If you owe a debt you have a legal obligation to pay if off... If not handled with in 7 years its removed.  Make sure that you receive a letter from any law office, court, or debt collector and forward that to amend your credit... Remember- this is the internet, the majority of people on here are disgruntled... rarely will you hear someone who pays the debt jump on here to sing praises...

This attorney is hired by LAR, who is the collection company in charge of your old debt, and they mean business! Unfortunate situations happen to us all, and if you call and speak to them they will work with you. Mr. Sterling is indeed a very real person, because the luck of the angels on my side got through his arrogant****istant directly to him and he is really a kind and understanding man. I do advise if you are going to fight them, you better have a paper trail of proof in your favor ready to go!

They have called my work and told my employees that iam being sued and need to call them in 24 hours they called my cell and told me i gave them a false address and i have court at 3 i called the clerks office and i dont have court in the county i live in, they said if i dont show up i will be charged with failure to appear. I talked to them a couple weeks before and they told me they outsoucred all my files to a lawyer closer to my area but now they call me back and say i have court they refuse to send me copies of any type of paperwork saying that i owe money and ***ody there can give me an address cause they dont know and dont work at that building all of this sounds like lies to me anyone else have any ideas??

I received a phone call from a blocked number.  I never answer calls from blocked numbers so it went to voicemail.  On the voicemail, this guy says that I have 24 hours to return the call to Robert Sterling in reference to my old property and my new property.  He stated that if I did not call back within 24 hours, any decision made on the properties will be final. Here's the thing.  My old property is fully paid for, and not even in my name.  My current property is an apartment complex, therefore ***ody can use it a***nst me.  Also, they used my maiden name, which I have been married for over two years now, and living in this apartment for less than that.  If they really wanted to do so****ing to me, they would know that my married name is on the lease of this apartment, and that my name is not on do***entation of my old property anymore.  When I called and demanded to speak to someone immediately about it (Robert Sterling was "in court at that time"), the lady on the other end said "are you an only child that you think you deserve special consideration in speaking with someone immediately?  Are you that much of a loser that you call me up and demand this?"  That right there was enough to tell me that this whole thing is a load of BS.  Anyone that is in any type of legal profession would never speak to someone like this, and they would provide the information requested at the drop of a dime.Obviously this is a scam.  If you get a call from this number/name, report it to your local police to open an full investigation and have it sent to Fullerton, CA police department.  I have done so, and if we get more people to do this, hopefully these people won't be able to hurt anyone else.

these people are out of their minds they got a wage garnishment a***nst me had an attorney he didn't do s*it for me they are taking almost half my check after taxes 25% more like 50% because they take this before taxes the attorney stood there and charged me 1200.00 and now i got a judgement for 5400.00 i don't get it i thought hire an attorney they would do so****ing for me they didn't do sh*t now i am broke and working for them i am over it i am quitting my job and collecting not getting up and going to work for these attorneys to get richer while they hold me down

I'd also like to know what became of anyone elses business with them. I received a call today about scheduling to have do***ents served.  After some research, the 'law office' and 'process servers' are located in CA.  I'm in MI.  How is that going to work?

what happened with this  situtaion I would like to know, I have called but cant get any info and since they called my job now my manager is asking me about it everyday.

They called my manager at my  job saying I got a summons, and when I called they wouldn't give me any information.

I would gt an attorney if you don't know what it is for. They won't give you any info and they have to send you copies

I just received a summons at my job from these people.  Security wouldn't let the process server in so they waited in the parking lot for me.  They gave me this number 714 882-3477and it was some law office that gives out very little info.  So that because I received a summons I'd have to wait for court to get any info.  Should I show up on my own or should I get an attorney?  Please help.

714-459-2935 Same company,,,different people call about a debt collection.   Ask for unknown person but they still keep calling.Left name of Michael Murphy.These people call regarding debts that have been charged off.  In most if not all cases the statute of limitations have run out, but they still try to get some money from you.  They bought your debt for pennies on the dollar.Check your state for the actual statute of limitations.  Even if you pay back the debt it does not come off your credit report if the statute of limitaions have run out to collect the deb**** will fall off your credit report after 7yrs.
