Leave a Commentthis same thing happened to me, he clls him self officer Neil Johnson. report them to your local authorities. they are practicing unfair collection procedures.
call from 7149838179 stating he was an officer with a fraud dept of some company...have been receiving numerous calls from numerous different phone numbers with the same scam going...last one claimed to represent CashNetUsa.com for a payday loan...I immediately called them after obtaining their number through google and they informed me I never had an account with them and gave me their fraud dept number to report it to them as it is being investigated. I was also urged to contact the AG in the state of Mass. to report this scam...will be doing so this date! These individuals have heavy Indian accents and are very persistent...when I informed I would be calling AG the officer called me a Mother F*er and ***g up....I immediately called him back at this number and he ***g up a***n, but not until after I gave him an earful!
Got a wrong number call from these people looking for someone. They thought I was the person and threatened to throw me in jail for internet fraud. The man had a heavy Indian accent, and was very aggressive. This is a complete scam.
I received call today and when I told him I turned in that number for harassment he called me a b***h and ***g up! Scam all the way.!
i received a phone call on 2/9/2011 from the same 714-983-8179 said i had a lawsit a***nst me for internet fraud activity to call johson now are i will be going 2 jail on friday they will pick me up and i will be losing my job .. that i need 2 call me now... that it was all a***nst my name and ss and that i need a copy of my address... 2 call him back so he can help me that it would be help 2 come and pick me up friday....
I got a call/voicemail from officer Neil Johnson with his Indian accent. He basically said what everyone else says, but just uses a different state. I'm reporting him...this number... What gets me is that he is not stating what company he is from. Also, he said he blocked my SSN, I applied for a credit card moments after he said that and got approved. At the end of the voicemail, he had the NERVE to tell me God Bless! All scam. Nothing but scam.
This Just Happened to me who do I call to report .Should call Orange County Sheriffs Office?
I just got a call from John Brown (yeah right). the first time i just hollared scam and ***g up. Second time I pressed ignore on my phone. third time I answered and advised him that the call was being monitored by the FBI. He says FBI? I tell him yes the owner reported fraudulent calls and extortion attempts so all incomming calls are being monitored and traced by the FBI Fraud Dept. and ***g up he hasnt called me back yet, we'll see.
Yes, scam. Do not send money. The information was transferred from original loan. Personal info was stolen or bought from there. Police can't do much if this is out of state or country. The guy who answered gave me a ***tington Beach address then after asking how to spell the street name he said Oh, never mind you don't have to pay your bill see you in court. There was also a female and another male or two involved.
I may be incorrect at this being cashnetusa. I will find out later and update. It's a felony to impersonate an officer! If this man calls you take as much info you have and go to police. This person is located in the Orange county area with that number. 714-983-8179 No legitimate collection agency would leave a message like he did. Nor do police leave messages like that.
Okay, I just got done going to the Police station 2x and calling The OC police on this guy. It's one thing to ask for your money but to represent yourself as an officer? I did get a payday loan and have not paid it back as of yet. But to call saying I will be arrested and kids taken (don't have kids) not taking this lightly. I'll tell you the company name it was from. I'm not sure if this individual has many different companies or what. cashnetusa.com is who had my information. I thought someone got my information and was using it fraudulently. Going down to detectives tomorrow to make sure and take a listen to the voicemail. Doesn't even say what it is for. He said his name is Officer Neil Johnson from (inaudible) investigation dept. He said I will be arrested and my house is being watched (he's gonna be in trouble for stalking if this is true) my kids taken away. My employer notified (which is myself and I already know).
I received a call by a man stating that he was calling regarding a cash advance that i had not repaid - Wrong!! Contacted the company and I was in good standing - when I asked for a tax id number, or a way to verify the company he called me a b***h and refused to give me any information - i a***n asked for a tax id number to be able to verify the company and he stated he wanted to f*%k me ---- I reported this number to my cell company, called 411 and the number is not on file so I can't contact the better business bureau - but I'm still trying to track it down if you get a call from this number -- report it immediately and don't go thru the abuse I did.
I got a phone call from this number from a man whom seemed to have a thick accent calling for my husband my husband and I are pending divorce and I asked them to remove me from their calling list. The man said that I was involved as well and that cops will be coming to arrest me with in two hours. For one I am smart enough to know that they have to sue me for what ever default on my part I have have to be served papers. then have a court date. Because they cost of a such things is more then owed these Collection departments turn to the threat route. How they got my private work cell phone number I will never know but if you see this number do not answer your know nor return their call.
Received a message today from Officer Neil Johnson stating he is transferring my case to the court house, swearing to God I will lose my kid and my job and that he was blocking my social security number and that I will be in jail come Friday morning. Kept saying he was going to put a warrant out for my arrest and that I was doing fraudulaunt online activity. My husband called them back and they said it was for a cash advance. I do have a cash advance with a company but verified with that company that they do not send out calls like that and they recommended i look into it. My cash advance is in repayment status with them-not in collection status. When my husband confronted the man about inpersonnating an officer, he had replied that it was his counselor who left the message and action would be taken a***nst him appropriately. (the man who answered the phone sounded just like the man who left the message. Indian accent)I will be filing a police report, but not sure what else I can do.
i took a loan out several months ago from a company and i paid more then double back. now im getting harrassing phone calls from this number stating that i will be arrested. when i asked what company they were with they ***g up. not 5 mins later they call back screaming obcenities at me over and over. i this time ***g up. a***n they call me screaming obcenities at me and harrassing me. do not answer any questions from these people nor pay them any money. they do not sound legit nor do they even have any respect for people.
man with an accent stated he was an officer and was trying to collect a debit and if they did not pay they would go to jail. called back no answer, voicemail. when victim called back, they put a supervisor on the phone and he was yelling at the victim and would not give any information.DO NOT PAY AND DO NOT RETURN THEIR CALLS
I received a call from them also, but they said they were calling from the police department, and i owed money from a payday loan. When I asked them for information, they refused to give it, they put a supervisor on the phone who refused to give his name, and kept shouting at me. I saved the message on my cell phone, because the man who left the message said I would be going to jail come next monday. I was worried, (didn't know if my iden***y was stolen), but they he said the funds were transferred to my bank account, but I don't have a checking or savings.......
IF YOU DONT PAY THE MONEY NOW YOU WILL GO TO JAIL IN INDIA FOR 30 YEARS
A Man with a Indian accent called me and said he was a Officer ( but didn't say what department) That someone was using my SSN to do fraud on the internet??? He told me to call him back right away and he will try to help me?? The whole thing sounded su****ious so I went on the internet and found this, I'm going to report the creepy little man.
My caller ID said "0000"; however, they gave me the number of 714-983-8179. I was given the spill that I got a payday loan and never paid it back. A man w/ an Indian accent represented himself as Attorney Roger Smith and gave me a legal case file number. I told him I, too, was an attorney and gave him a fake bar number. (I am not an attorney, I just play one in the office by working as a paralegal.) I told him I was taping the conversation and needed him to repeat his name and ***le a***n. He refused and ***g up. I called the 714-983-8179 number back and asked for atty Roger Smith. The same man got on the phone and would not answer any questions regarding the "legal case" but instead kept asking me if I was married or single and if I would marry him. I told him I was already married to one of the most prominent attorneys in Atlanta (this is true.) I told him I was contacting the Georgia Attorney General's office about his company. He ***g a*******viously a scam. I am placing alerts w/ credit bureaus and finding out what can be done to protect consumers from my REAL attorney.Do not answer any questions from these people.
