JEC Group is actually a part of a company called Northtown Capital. These guys are simply people who purchase debt and then try to scare you into paying.It's almost funny reading their "About Us" section after experiencing on of their collector's calls.http://www.northtowncap.com/Pages/Default.asp ... 28-eef267098fb5This one clown actually tried to ask me if I was calling because charges were being pressed a***nst me. I laughed and said that if he was really an "attorney" then he would know that threatening criminal prosecution in the process of collecting a debt is completely illegal..DON'T FALL FOR IT. Treat them as you would any other collection agency..

My Mom (who is a Senior Citizen) has been getting calls for a while now about some cash advance loan she allegedly made online over 3 years ago.  They won't send any information on it and today a man named "Investegator Haines" called and said we had until 4pmEST to call back or we would be served and "criminally charged".  He gave a reference number and said he needed to hear from my Mom or her attorney immediately or else.  He was so rude and nasty, he made my Mom cry.  I heard him on a phone extension.  I have tried ***ting them down but come up empty.  If it was a legitimate debt...which I know it isn''t...why wouldn't they send the proof when we asked for it.Any suggestions on how I can help my parents deal with this?  Thanks.
