I just got a call from this number. Clearly a phishing scam. A guy with a heavy Indian accent calls you and says his name is Eric, John, Steve, or so****ing American. He is clearly reading from a script and he tries to convince you that you are eligible to receive compensation for medical surgery that you had several years ago. Total scam. Clearly trying to get all you to give out all your personal information. Don't do it. Just **** up.

Called today and I had to shout before they answered. Spoke in an Indian accent and was very hard to understand. Asked all kinds of questions about surgery I never had. I wanted to play along and bait the scammer so I gave them all phony information. About 5 minutes in, I asked how many more questions, he said just one. After that last question, he then ***g up! What was the purpose of that? I was disappointed because I figured they would ask for some kind of initial payment to s**** the "case" or whatever their scam was. Then I'd give them more phony info and end by screaming obscenities at them, so****ing I only do to scammers.

II have simply downloaded a call blocking app that has the capacity to answer and **** up immediately and also sends a message to that number to say whatever i would like :-)... and with this app i don't have to worry about listening to my phone ring and they stop after a few calls.. :-) my problem solved

On calls you don't recognize with long distance, don't answer them. I got this information from a police officer. His suggestion -- google the number, check for comments, and then save that number in your phone with a contact name like: Zspam1.....Zspam2....Zpam3, etc. for all the calls and numbers you get that are spam callers. Once you have the number in your contact list, go back under it and c****e your ring tone for that number to "silent" or "no ring tone" so when the call comes through you won't hear it. Great advice and it does work.

OK.. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SHUT THIS GUY DOWN. IM NOT SURE WHO HE IS OR HOW HE IS GETTING NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS. BUT HE IS BREAKING THE PRIVACY ACT LAWS. HIPPA. ANY SUGGESTIONS?????????????

I received several calls but they just ***g up when I answered. I also received a call from another number 214-316-9648 minutes after the other number had called. Bout 2 mins after that they called back and I told them they were being recorded. They talked for awhile but when I asked about them living in the US and was familiar with the HIPPA law they then ***g up. I do have recordings of the calls and wished I knew who to turn it over to get them stopped!

I receive multiply phone calls from this number trying to obtain medical information which is a clear sign of HIPPA violation. I have asked numerous times to stop calling. I also receive the same male caller from a Miami number asking identical questions. This guy needs to be reported for violating HIPPA laws.. when I press him for how he received my name and NON Published number I get the run a round.

Have called numerous times no message left, my caller ID shows number is a cellphone. Ive never been to New York..looked up phone number on Google saw comments. One thing, first thing in the morning I will investigate this number at work since I investigate fraud.

doesn't speak English, the moment I say the number I knew it wasn't a good call. I haven't even been to New York. I don't want to know how they got my number.

Said he was from medical compensation company. Did not speak English well. Told him not to call back. Got second call 55 minutes later.

Unrecognized number. Called multiple times. I am on the federal Do-Not-Call list. They don't care or don't check it. Typical illegal phone spam/scan bs.

leaves no message and if you call back, says it has been disconnected or no longer in service.

I received a call from a young man with a heavy accent who wanted to find out if had had uterine or cervical surgery to determine if I qualified for compensation for so****ing - whatever it was. I ***g up on him after he asked too many personal questions - all my answers were negative... I also asked if he would tell me who he represented and I couldn't understand what he was saying....

I received a call when I was on the other line. When I tried to call them back...they said it was a Verizon phone that had been disconnected...hmmm in 30 seconds?

I could barely understand the man on the phone and he asked me if I had had a transplant and he was from a medical compencation company....I ***g up quic****!!
