I received a call from "Officer Dan Martin" with State Investigations Dept. Said he had a very important legal matter to discuss and that if I didn't call him back at 716-828-8257 there would be officers there to arrest me. And all he could do then is wish me good luck and have a blessed day.

2 phone calls occurred today. On both calls they claim they are State Investigations Dept & that they are collecting money for payday loans with CashAdvance. They get rude & threatening when they can't get pertinent info. (i.e. bank acct#, SS#,credit card#,addresses). Then they **** up. They threaten to take this to court & have you jailed, if you don't pay right now. The people have India accents, whether it's women or men. Don't give them any kind of information!!!!! These are bogus payday loan scams.

Deep Eastern India Accent stated he was an officer from the state investigors legal department. Said his name was jeff dawson. Would not provide the name of the company, said he asks the questions. If anyone has the name of this company, they are in federal violation of collection laws and can be prosecuted to include punitive damages, in addition to monetary fines personally and for the company. DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS TO THIS COMPANY. If you can understand the name of the company, pass it on.

Same with me too - this guy called me saying he was a detective from NY, he left a message using the name Dan Martin. I don't know who he is and he will not give accurate information on what dept he is calling from or exactly what he wants. I had my attorney give him a call and the individual's only kept swit****g the phone from one person to the other (all of the voices sounded foreign).

Two calls from the same guy. First time he called I questioned him on his name/who he worked for. Said he was some police force in NY state, name was Benny Jackson. He ***g up when i pressed it more. Then I called the number back. The number called me back, and he had c****ed his name (same guy) to Mike Thomas. I then became incensed and pointed this out to the man, and so he dropped the tone of his voice and acted like he had switched a***n and become "Detective Dan" or so****ing. Began yelling and using harsh language, like I was in the wrong. This has scam and s*** written all over it. Don't give these ****s an inch, and hassle them until they give you their real name/contact info/dept/badge number/superior. ANY government agent calling can give you those or they aren't anything.

Me too. This morning I got a call from a man with a heavy indian accent telling me I was being investigated for a financial crime. He said I would be in big trouble if I didn't call him back. I dismissed it as a crank call but they called my work and asked for my supervisor told my boss that they had better have me call them!! that is so scary. He would not let me ask any questions he said it was an advance on my pay that i did not pay back. That is soooo crazy. Dont know how to stop this. Never had any issues with any bills in my life. Its seems like every one else on this site also has good credit. Maybe thats who they are targeting. Im really fustrated with this.. the point is too that none of the threats have come true.... noone has come to arrest me, no one has frozen my accounts.... my credit report is still the same..... this has got to be a scam.....
