My wife got a message stating a bad check was written and she needed to call them or face a lawsuit.  I contacted the bank and no outstanding check is out there.  Hate these kinds of calls, and the time they waste for me.

I received several calls at my parents home, my parents business from Shapiro and Price. They left messages that were rude and upsetting to my parents. Shapiro and Price ???? w***ver they are, can't be lawyers if so, they are some dumb a** lawyers. They phoned my parents business, spoke to one of their employees giving them a message to give to me. The message said I or my attorney need to contact them immediately. They went on to say if not contacted they would take me to court and make sure I go to jail. My mom was very upset, that they would call trying to strong arm someone, and to call her place of business, speak to one of her employees, and discuss with that employee, what could be my personal business. You don't leave a detailed message, at a work place, concerning a private matter without violating someones rights. In this case, my rights. My mom phoned them, got their voice mail,  left Shapiro and Price a message. My moms message stated "If they call a***n, speak to one of her employees, regarding what could be a personal and private matter about me "(her son) a***n, that they just might be the ones in court. She told them if the debt was real contact her with detailed info and to stop calling.  ***ody should ever pay a debt without being allowed to verify that debt. They call with threats, but no details on what the debt is suppose to be. These people try to scare the***** out of you, to make you pay them money (owed or not). If its an attempt to collect a real debt, threats, harrassment, and being rude is not the way to handle the matter. Shapiro and Price real or unreal need to be stopped, I have no unpaid debt that I'm aware of, but if I do, strong armimg is not the way to collect.

I received a call from 716-986-9606 (sapiro and price) in reagards to a payday loan from 2007. Unfortunatly i didnt get any names, but i spoke to a female and a male. The advised me that i made a payment back in 07 and didnt make anymore....The last name, bank info, and employee info was incorrect, on top of the fact that i've never taken a pay day loan in my life. I tried to explain that to her, but she didnt wanna hear that she only wanted a payment and continued to threaten me with a lawsuit. She was very rude and aggressive to the point where i let her have it.....I cursed her out sooo bad....i used ever curse word, insult, and whatever else i could think of and told her not to call my house anymore. She said you're such a s*** bag and ***g up......She didnt know who she was messing with. I called back and a male answered "what". i asked to speak to the women who called me and explained what was going on.....he began to get aggressive and rude and said "i think u just used a fake name to do ur fraud business....i let him have it too. She got back on the phone i let her**** have it a***n...Me and this lady and this guy were going back and forth for about 30 mins with insults and curse words, at that point it wasnt even about the debt anymore.....At that point i realized (from working in collections) this was fraud and they were just trying to scam people out of money......she lucky she wasnt in my city or i would have found her and beat that****. Please dont make any payment arrangements with this company....its totally 100% fraud.......I dared her to call my house a***n, and i havent heard from them since
