I didn't answer this number cuz I didn't know who the hell it was but from reading these comments I will be sure not to ever answer this number it will be blocked from calling me from now on!!!!

same as other complaints,spanish speaking lady and to me sounded like a possible threat that my hour was soon up but I am not sure because I do not speak spanish.Right after that call I had problems with my cell phone like keys that did not work and poor reception

(717) 200-8989 keeps calling my cell phone. Persistent. Doesn't leave message, just calls at odd hours like early evening or late at night. IDIOTS. Area code comes from: LOYSVILLE, PA. Our friends here at Cataloglinksnotallowed want us to PAY to discover these dork's identities? Frankly I feel their REAL NAMES and place of location should be broadcasted to expose SCAMMERS who persist in these sorts of calls, to their own medicine if you will! I'm not paying anyone to find these IDIOTS who keep calling my cell phone. Maybe a federal complaint is in order here?

got call at 1:03 pm 6/1/2010 and when i called it back because i was outside at the time of call a recording said it had been disconnected with fax machine sound at the end. on my cellphone

This number called me & it was a Spanish recording telling me that my phone number has been selected to win. I immediately hung up.

they called me at 11am told me i won something. i thought it was sprint my service, i pressed 1 and some dude ask for my name i answered but i asked who is this and he hung up i did not give him more info then my first name. but i called back phone was disconnected

got a call from the 717-200-8989 - number disconnected. someone changed their caller id to reflect this number. it is a hoax/scam or some sort.

Did the same thing. hope not a virus.

reporting call fro this number to a honeypot number (never published or used).Whoever/whatever  is placing this call is dialing blindly.Not worth answering.

The weird thing about this phone number is that I got a missed call on my cell and on my work phone. I have NO idea how they would have gotten both. They didn't leave a message and now the number has been disconnected. Sounds like a scam.

This number called but left no message, I dont even think it rang enough times to activate my voicemail. weird!! Definitely suspicious, I wouldnt trust anything they had to say and this apparent scam should be reported to the proper authorities.

I recently signed up to participate in focus groups in NYC. It is the only time I have released my phone number.I too rcvd a call at 7 30 from 717-200-8989. However no one left a message. I wonder if the online focus group shares personal information with telemarketers!?

Just called my mobile, I didn't pick up and they left no message.  717 is a Pennsylvania area code.  I've never been anywhere three nor do I know anyone from there.  Stupid scammers.
