I have several Loans with them... Close to the end of my 15 year loan.  1 fo the loans does not have any time left for a forbarence so all the others that do get turned down since they treat it as 1 big loan.  Well than only dig my credit 1 time instead of 11 !  Over the years I found it very hard to work with them..  I fax my info / requests every time they leave a VM just to **** them off.  Maybe someone there will actually read the requests.  Idiots

I had the same problem with them..They keep calling from cell phone numbers..One time they were harassing me, I told them umm I lost my job and we are barely making it thru with my husband paycheck..Well they told me "Well its not our fault you dont have a job you should get a job" and that came from a supervisor!! I then called sallie mae had both of them on the phone, well sallie mae only wanted a  $50 payment then they would offer a forb. which never came thru but stopped the harrasing calls from the creditor..Dont talk to the ppl that call you its just a collector and they are NOT sallie mae even tho they say they are. Call sallie mae directly..I cant wait til I'm done with them, they are idiots

I'm having the same problem. Can't find a better job like they promise, behind on payments. They call the place where I work now & harrass me. My employeer is not very happy. They call my family, I have no idea how they got my familys' phone #'s, I took the loan out myself with no cosigners. To me it was all a scam. Try to better my life for My daughter & myself, but now I'm in debt. They call several times a day & **** up. They won't make other payment arrangements so I send them what I can every month, at least I send them so****ing & call them once a week. Same thing happened to me with the forebearence ****, all you get is the run around. Does anyone know what can be done about this. I'm going to try to call the number in the previous post & see what happens. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!

I get called from sallie mae all the time because im behind in payments, much like alot of other people, because of a lack of work. I was told that there was some policy c****es but I wont believe a collector from that company for anything. (there all liers and thiefs) the ONLY way I was able to get anything done with sallie mae was to fight and find out that there is another number you can call that may actually help you. Its there advocate dept. The number there is (888)545-4199. They can take over your account and help you with problems that the collections dept refuses to do. I hope this helps someone

I have a loan through Sallie Mae,aka, loan sharks. I havent been able to find a job, I called back in February when I knew that I would be having problems, I was informed that I needed to be 4 months late with my payments, since my payments s****ed in December, I was not 4 months late. I asked the guy if there was a way to lower my payments, I was informed that they could do it, if I caught up my 2 payments that I was behind, and then they would send me the paperwork. LIARS I borrowed the money to make the payments, no paperwork. I called a***n to get a forbearance, was informed I had to make 2 payments to be able to do that. Forget it people, they will not work with you, nor do they have to, they are no longer backed by the gov't. They called me 8 times in one day,I would call that harrassment.

same s**t happned to me.

These people from Sallie Mae are *****s.  I lost my job, and filed a forebearance agreement with their company to postpone my payments.  I submitted all the paperwork because the rep that I spoke to on the phone said that's all I needed to do.  I got the paperwork in 3 days after I spoke to the person on the phone.  Apparently their customer service department and their collections department do not converse or share records.  It's getting rediculous.  At least 3 calls per day from this number and a 1-866 number.  They shouldn't be harassing me for one.  And ***, am I like their only customer?  It's a student loan for God's sake.  Get a f**king life!!!!!
