This is a ripoff they need your account number do not give it to them

This company asked me to vierify my account number to my electric bill with Niagara Grid. I asked them why should I givve you my account information? The customer service tells us not to give that away. Her response was, "Ma'am, we are a processing center, and we need to verify your name, address, and account. Since you paid your electric bill on time for over six months, you are receiving two rebate checks from your utility companies." Yeah right. I have NEVER heard of your company before. then I ***g up on her. Not even 5 minutes later, this # shows up on my caller ID: 718-509-***7. WTH?
