I try blocking the number through AT&T, but I have to pay $5 a month to block any number. Don't know what angers me the most, the SOB calling or the phone company.

if you save their number in your contacts, there should be an option to block them under their info. that's what I did, so you don't have to pay to get them blocked through Verizon

Just got a call from this 7185427472 and they asked for my daughter, I told them there was no one at here by that name...I decided to do a search on the number because it didn't look familiar and found it is from the Bronx, NY and that it is a land line and the carrier is Verizon. I just want to know how they knew my daughter's name and she doesn't even live here. Someone needs to report it to Verizon.

He calls me in Georgia 5 or 6 times a day.  Because I don't recognize the area code I just don't answer.  In a way I was glad to learn from your comments that he's a sicko on the loose and is calling other innocent people besides me -- although, of course, I am sorry that you folks are going through this too.  His address is 846 Beck Street Bronx, NY 10459-5026.  I think what it will take to get rid of him is for somebody in New York that he is harrassing to report him to the Bronx Police Department and the local phone company at the address on Beck Street.  I don't know how he affords the phone bill he must be running up, as the information I have says he owns a landline phone, but his carrier is Verizon New York, Inc.  If he has unlimited long distance calls, as Verizon can provide to their customers, he could be calling people in foreign countries for all we know. But if somebody knows how to find the Bronx office for Verizon and goes to the office manager to report him, Verizon will probably threaten him with terminating his service.

Im having the same problem with getting a call every hour or so while im in class and cant do jack about it this is bu***hit when you answer theres nothing and if you let it go to vm then its dead air calling back dont work either but im guessing that this is just a relay number and can only be used to cover the original number thats what the system i used to work with did but regardless this s**t needs to end

I keep getting calls claiming I signed up for college. It has been happening for 6 months and they claim to remove my name & number with in 48 hours, then quickly hang up. When I ask them questions, they quickly hang up.
