Why can't I block these calls?

These calls are from sales reps from Cablevision.  Very, very annoying.  I get numerous calls to my cell phone every day and they never leave a messege.  I've even answered and told them to stop calling me that this was my cell phone and my number is on the national Do Not Call list.  They stopped for a short time and then s****ed calling me a***n over the last week.  It would be great if anyone knew how to make them stop!

Good God, they just won't stop!  Makes life awkward while trying to work.  I have Cablevision, and NO I don't want a landline.  yeesh.

Non stop harassing robocalls from Cablevision....several calls every day.  Will not stop!

These people Call me 4 to 5 times a day, today I told them to stop calling, well that did not work less then a half hour later they called a***n and I just did'nt anwser. I am so sick of this, I've had more then enough.

I recieve at least 5 to 6 calls a DAY from this number for the last month... SICK OF IT.... today I finally answered and told them TWICE in not such a nice way to quit calling my house.......... I then proceded to call the 1-718-559-4080 number back cause I was gonna lay into someone about these ANNOYING calls... I got the if you wish to take your name off the list please follow these steps.. I HIGHLY suggest you call this number and do it... if I want to recieve additional business from CABLEVISION I will call myself...

I received a call from this number this afternoon without leaving a message.If it is Cablevision,it may want to solicit their phone service,since I have their television and internet service.

I'm getting the same calls today. I have cablevision as well but they definitely seem to want to sell me a land line. Annoying, since I already told them several times that I don't want it. I'm glad I googled the #,  because I had no idea who was calling.

this number keeps calling and doesn't leave a message. annoying. i don't want anything from cablevision, i already have their ****py service.

Thanks to luke for the information - I called the number back and went through the IVR to add my number to the do not call list. They said it would take up to 30 days. Very nice to have this option accessible without even having to talk to a live sales agent.

Oh, what would we do without caller id?I'm surprised that they come up "unknown name".  Normally "Cablevision" pops up; I'm just waiting for them to call a***n.  I want to tell them how I really feel about their service as of late.  How dare they allow certain channels to be viewed only with a cable box!  I have 5 tv's in the house and 1 cable box.  So, now I can't watch Chelsea Lately (E!) on a TV without a box.  FiOS is looking more appealing...Thanks for letting me rant, lol.

I also have been getting these strange calls. I call back and they say the number can't be reached go figure.  They call, I pick up and no one replies.  Get a life and stop wasting mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got a call from that number, on my cell phone, during the day while I'm at work, and they did not leave a message...I'm glad I found that site, that indicates who they are! Thanks all

I've gotten 3 calls from this # today. I already have the regular Cablevision # programmed into my phone so that I know not to pick it up but this one is new. I have their cable and internet service but I think they'd like me to use their phone service as well.

This number keeps calling me!!! And it is on my cell phone!!! While I'm working. They just called me three times in the past two hours. These people are *****ing idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

This number just called me 4 times every half hour today on my cell. No messages left so I knew it was a telemarketer and figured it was Cablevision. I did as the above caller mentioned and put my number on the do not call list. So annoying.

This number is DEFINITELY CABLEVISION.. They used to call from a different number, but since I never picked up their calls, they began calling from this number a few days ago.. I specifically demanded they NOT call when I spoke to an operator MONTHS ago, but he kept saying "I'll call you back in a few days" to which I said "I do NOT want you calling me" and he wouldn't relent, so I finally ***g up the phone..and guess what..they've been calling ever since!  If you've ever inquired about Cablevision service, YOU'RE GOING TO GET HARASSING PHONE CALLS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. I have their cable service already but use another internet provider, and they will NOT STOP CALLING!!If you're trying to get on their "Do Not Call" list, call the number back and MAKE SURE YOU STAY ON THE LINE until you're prompted to type in your phone number.  You're going to have to listen to the recording blab on and on, and they make it seem like you've been put on the list, but afterwards you have to type in your phone number.  THEN you can **** up.  It'll still take upwards of 30days for it to be effect..

I called back the number, and you have the option of being put on the Cablevision Do Not Call list, which I did.

This numbers calls me at least once every day but never leaves a message the one time i answered no one answered. Cablevision has called me many times about getting a land line and everytime i told them no since i just cancelled my phone line only 6 months ago. very annoying.

These guys keep calling me to sell me triple play. I got cable and internet from them but they want to push down my throat the fixed land line. The 21st century is about mobility, and they want to give us antiquated 20th century technology. Their offers expire in one year and after that they charge like crazy. Unfortunately they have a lot of monopoly power. Verizon offers DSL in the area but still I would have to go to Cablevision for cable. My building does not allow me to go to the dish system. Kidda "my way or the highway". But I am definitely not buying the cablevision land line service.

Called my cell, left no message. Very annoying that telemarketing has crossed over to cell subscribers. Its not right, we need all our minutes..

I receive calls at least twice a day now, also get the "no answer" when I feel like picking it up.  Cablevision wonders why people are swit****g to Verizon, go figure.

Calls me at least five times from Monday - Friday last week. I asnwered once and no one answered. Very very annoying

They called my 11 times today between 10am and 2:30pm while I was in work.  I think I'll go Verizon!
