Leave a CommentI got a call today 6/3/10 they telling me I won a free vacation to the Ba***** and it seemed a little fishy to me. I spoke to a live attendant and I said I wanted more info before I paid any money and they told me I had to pay 87.50 p/p before I got ANYTHING.YA.Caller: www.bahamagetaways.net
They called me too, a woman who in my opinon sounded like a goof she paused through half of the recording ( almost like she forgot who she was calling and why she was calling)! I should have known it was a scam, but still continued to listen to the message. I thought to myself and even my boyfriend agreed this kind of sounds legit??? HA.. NO GIM****S NO CATCH= BS!! like you all have said on here if it's too good to be true than it prob is too good to be true.. point blank!
Hey. So they just called me today & i was really excited about this but im guessing that this is all a scam. I did alot of research on the hotel & apparently its in a ****py locale as well & they told me i had to pay 87.50 as a payment for this package to the Ba*****. I guess it is all a scam.
dhis shxt fakee-&& wasted my damm timee.. iwuhs sleep!
Ya I got the call today and have to listen to a 15min recording about how amazing the free trip is and at the end you have to make 4 payments of $39.99 per person +other taxes that they do not pay for / dont even know what they are after talking with a rep..... You have 5 days to make the first payment before they will even send you any info on it. Just give me the free trip
I was called on Thursday 3/18/10 at 10:30am by a woman voice saying to me about the bahama hotel free for a week, but when i asked the lady to give me her name and asked her to try to repeat me what she was speaking slowly, due to my small understanding of fast-English, she did not know what she said. Only she repeated at all time, 'bla bla ok? bla bla bla ok? bla bla ok?'I asked her to send me the information of the prize I won by mail and she gave me the claim number and the phone. As I am in a world where nothing is for free, except the mother's kisses and some friendship, and sit staring at the sky. I came to check the number here, and I am here letting everybody know the "timo", in other words that that is scam.I am not going to call. That's it.Thanks to all for your testimonies. God bless.
Guess the lesson here is nothing in this life is free! :)
I got a call from someone (an EXTREMELY enthusiastic someone) telling me I won a free vacation to the Ba***** and it seemed a little fishy to me. I spoke to a live attendant and I said I wanted more info before I paid any money and they told me I had to pay $39 before I got ANYTHING. Seems like total BS.
Okay so this place called my boyfriend... so I looked into it. Everything the above people mentioned is correct. Call and try it yourself! Big BS!
In order for them to call, you had to have filled out a contest entry (usually hot pink or bright yellow) for a "free trip to the Ba*****" recently. I did so and was called by them within 24 hours saying I had "won" and all I had to do was make a long-distance to listen to a prerecorded message for the "details". (Please read above comment for said "details", as that pretty well sums it up. I presume after you decline their "generous" offer, they will then sell your contact information to other telemarketers/unsolicited mail/junk mail providers. No, thankyouverymuch. Hope this saves someone else all the bother and wasted time..."$39 reservation fee first", yeah, riiiight! LOL!
they left message with extreme enthusiasm saying i actually won a free stay at a Bahama hotel. The first thing i noticed when i called back was i was listening to a prerecorded message which is setup for all the winners???haha. After getting the live attendant on the phone she says in order to receive my voucher and dvd i have to pay the $39 reservation fee first-hahah. Then i went on typing in the exact phone number in google and here i am contributing to complaints so that no one else doesn't have to get scammed if they do an easy search. Let everyone know if you can to help everyone this easily-Peace
It's a scam, some one calls to say you've 'won' a free trip but have to pay for taxes, airfare, etc. You end up paying for the trip anyway and staying ina ****py hotel. Don't call back!
Who is calling? If yo know so****ing please post!
