Leave a CommentCalled a couple weeks ago and got my granny to give them cc #. Family canceled the card. A week ago they s****ed a***n. I picked up and told the pushy lady on the phone that we aren't interested in what she's selling and she said the ONLY way to be taken off the list is to verify cc #. She called several times last week amd was rude, pushy, and threatening in tone. I finally flat out told the lady she would never get the cc info and if she wants to keep wasting her time calling that's her problem. She called me a ***** and ***g up. Haven't heard from them in 3 days.
5 calls in 17 min said they do billing for Readers Digest and Birds & Booms. Fraud Comp rude *****!
called house, missed call. After what I have read about them, they better pray to god I do not pick up the phone...and I think I will find a way to take them out back channel.
Called twice today
They have called twice today and about 6 months ago concerning my Readers Digest subscription (I'm not a subscriber). They use my name and ask if I am subscribed? I've asked them to remove me from their list, which they say each time they will. I don't let them get into cc info, etc. which is what they apparently are after. Google for American Readers Services and you'll find FTC and Atty. Gen. lawsuits a***nst outfits like this. I'll report to FTC and probably not answer any more.
Claim they are with Readers Digest and immediately demand a credit card number
