i am tired of them calling ...never leave a message, etc.

calls several times a day , leaves no message

This is a "robo-caller" where you pick up the phone and hear a dead line for about 5 seconds (if you wait), then someone on the other end gets on.  The caller asked for me by name and identified herself saying "This is The Democratic Party calling."  I asked her to put me on their "do not call" list.  She politely said "I sure can. Have a great day."  We'll see if it really happens.
