My conclusion: This number is LEGIT and NOT a scam. More details below. I had sent a money transfer via Western Union online and received a call about 30 mins later from 732-694-2151 asking following questions: 1. My name 2. Recipient's name 3. last 4 of bank account 4. my birthday 5. sender address 6. If I know recipient face-to-face 7. Have I ever sent that receiver money before 8. What is the purpose of money transfer It seemed a little su****ious, so I called the Western Union 800 number to verify. After about 30 mins of holds and transfers (the initial representative had no idea), they confirmed that the number was a legitimate Western Union number and asked the proper questions for verification purposes. But you don't have to take my word for it, just call Western Union and ask their fraud alert department to verify.

Got call from this number 732-694-2151, saying it was Western Union trying to verify a transaction.  I told them I had no idea what they were talking about-thought it was a prank. Turned out someone used Visa911 emergency cash and took $1000 and $500 out of my checking accounting on the same day, using my Visa/ATM card.  Western Union is used for these transactions and may have been trying to verify it - but their callers did not listen to me - and did a terrible job explaining what they wanted - so it seemed like a scam to get info from me.

Need to add that I believe these cell numbers are all coming from Jamaica that also use the area code 876 to scam and commit id theft, don;t get caught like I did.  Also, don't text them, because I am told they then can ***n access through your phone and rack up the charges

this number was used as part of identify theft that happened to me and made it look that it was my home phone calling and then they used my credit card to transfer money to their cohort.

I don't know who this is but it's not Western Union. I got a call from this #, they said our Money Order Paper was bad & they needed to send me more. I asked for more info & they still pressed for our agent info, then said if I wouldn't give it to them, our money order ma****e would stop working then ***g-up. Called western union, they filed a report.

This is a Western Union phone # as I just received a call from them. I work with Western Union with their technical issues. It is a legit #.

Received several calls from this number within a few hours.  One message left saying they were calling from Western Union and needed to talk to my husband to complete a wire transfer so he could receive his funds.  Last call I actually answered and the person repeated the same thing as the message.  I explained that my husband wasn't there and asked what it was about.  She said that he had called from that number earlier that day regarding the transfer and she was calling to complete it.  I told her that would be difficult as he is out of town right now.  She quickly said she would call later and ***g up without giving me anymore information.  Called Western Union's fraud department to report the call and see if they could tell me if there was some random wire waiting to be completed but they talked a lot, they weren't willing to do anything and suggested calling the 'local authorities' if I got another call.  Anybdoy know what this is about?  I'm****uming a scam.

TIME 5:17PMRECEIVED CALL TO MY HOME AT ABOUT 7PM FROM WU OPERATOR  # 379, NAME: JANIATHEY HAD DETERMINED THAT THIS TRANSACTION COULD BE A FRAUD, AND ASKED IF I WANTED TO CANCEL THE TRANSACTION. SHE KNEW THE AMOUNT INVOLVED.I DECIDED TO CANCEL, SHE GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING NUMBER TO PICKUP MY MONEY:4301113072 , PHONE NUMBER 732-694-2151

this number cals repeatedly

Western Union called and left a message to let me know money had been wired to me and was available for pickup at any Western Union nationwide.
