Just received a voice automated call from this number. The call was breaking in and out. They said that my VISA card was inactivated due to fraud. Bad, bad, bad.
I thought it might have been a friend, since I have one from the same area code. Didn't answer it, and now I'm glad I didn't! Scammy scam scam!
I bank locally (Southeast US). Why would a New Jersey registered phone number call me, and this isn't even during regular business hours.. (time of call: 7:45). I just ***g up, didn't even try to find out more.
said my "MasterCard records had been lost" and I needed to speak with them to re-open the account. I****ume it's phishing.
Just got a computerized call from this number. They claimed my Mastercard was shut down due to fraudulent activity. Lucky for me, I don't have a Mastercard! Scam.
Unbelievable! I just received the same message from a computer generated voice saying my Great Southern debit card was being de-activated for fraudulent use. I've NEVER had an account with Great Southern. Not satisfied with ****ing up on this creep, I called back to confront him/her and was greeted with a voice prompt to dial my party's extension or press "0" for an operator. Not knowing any extensions, I pressed "0" and was immediately disconnected. Now my blood pressure was really rising, so I called back and was met with a voice-mail message that "Baha Nagram" (don't quote me on the spelling, there was a very thick Middle Eastern/Indian accent that was difficult to understand) was not available and to leave a phone number and message. That's where I drew the line and called it quits. It smelled of scam right from the s****. I hope ***ody gets ripped off by this schmuck!
Just called a great southern bank in springfield mo and they said that it is a scam and they know about it. They are working to fix the problem.

Got a call from this number saying it was a bank and that my debit card had questionable purchases so they had shut it down. I don't even have an account with this bank. My husband received the same call from the same number this morning.
