Company is portfolio recovery services. Parent company is Portfolio Recovery****ociates currently being traded on the NY stock market. Company has been known to s**** a cell phone number in any of your known locations attempting to collect junk debt. If you receive a call from one of their agents do not help them identify you and definitely do not acknowledge any debt. If you do they will place a ding on your credit report for the junk debt and use the recorded phone call as evidence a***nst you in court. In order to stop receiving phone calls you must send them a certified cease and desist letter. If they harass you one more time file a complaint with the FTC and you will win 5 grand.

Calling for someone I don't know
This #, a debt collector, called my cell a couple times, but never left a message. Today I called back. Portfolio Recovery****ociates, LLC was trying to collect an unpaid electric bill owed by my ex-husband. They referred to me by my maiden name, which didn't faze me at first because I still use it professionally... but boy, these guys tracked me down! My ex-husband incurred this debt several months after I left and after our divorce was final. Of course, she couldn't tell me when the debt incurred- how convenient, right? I told her, and she said, "We don't recognize divorce decrees." Not my problem, sweetie! Click.
