Leave a CommentI think this is a debt collector. The lady left a voice mail with her name and a file number, and was looking for a former room mate that I had not had contact with in 20 years. Wow, this was 20 years, 3 addresses and 4 phone numbers ago. It's scary how much information they have on us and was able to make the connection
Calls are from Accelerated Financial Solutions, call Josh Tawes
Received five messages from Victoria, with Brinkman (?) "I want to talk with you about a file I received in my office yes****ay. I want to make sure you are fully aware of this matter." Then she left a file number Z or D 121088 for reference.

Same here. They were looking for a boyfriend I haven't seen or heard from in over 6 years. What was really strange is I've since married and have a different last name and the number they called is under my husband's name. Weird. I don't plan on calling these people back. How did they get this information?
We had someone call with this exact same message. She mentioned someone with our last name, but a first name we don't recognize. We googled the phone number and found out theyhave been calling other people as well. We blocked the number and I am not calling back. Really strange....
We received a call from this number yes****ay.
Scam and I reported to BBB and state attorney's office. Digging up old records from past that have either been deleted or settled, but they will not answer the phone. Call me everyday until I put call block on the number. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS.Computer dialing has created a whole new industry. Most call from overseas on Internet lines and just harass the bejesus out of you.

This is a bill collector. This number shows up but when you call back its a residence.
Same thing happened to me. But I suspect I know how it happened. The company I work for was hiring and I told my mom who in turn told her sister-in-law (who I have not seen in 15 years) to apply at my job and include my name as a "relative" in the referral section of the online application. She did. Two weeks later she gets a call from someone named Victoria who has been looking for me in regards to a case. Gave her the case number and a 800 number for me to call back. I wonder if its legal for Taleo (the applicant system my company uses to track the hiring process) to sell applicants info to a 3rd party. That is the only explanation as to how they connected me to my "aunt-in-law" It seems wrong...

Received a call looking for an ex-inlaw who's been out of my family for more than 20 years. She spoke to my husband. She told him our name was "listed in public records" as a contact for this ex relative. The caller apparently read off the names of everyone in my family and even those in my husband's family (who've never even heard of this ex relative) as contacts for this person! We don't live in the same state as my family and have never, ever, ever been a contact for this ex relative and know practically nothing about her--not even what state she lives in now, her last name, etc. The caller would not say what the call was about but left a file # in case I wanted to call back. My****umption was that this was a collection agency or so****ing like that. I'd like to know what public records they are accessing that listed us as a contact! BS.
Received two messages for a relative that does not live here. Actually, I have not spoken to this relative in 18 years. The message yes****ay said, "I want to talk with you about a file I received in my office yes****ay. I want to make sure you are fully aware of this matter." Then she leaves a file number for reference.
Said my cell phone number was given as a contact number for daughter who I haven't spoke to in 5 years. Would not give me any information or company name but did tell me they were a collection agency.
Was given this number by a relative...stating that she was Linda Hearn and that she had urgent msg for us and had some paperwork that we needed to fill out.
Received one call, looking for a relative who doesn't live here. A woman with a southern accent said she had an urgent message for the relative, saying she was trying to help the relative. she also lied because she claimed that someone told her the relative could be found at our number. I called back a few minutes later from my cell, the woman wouldn't tell me the name of the company and when I said, "well I must have the wrong number" she said, "sure you do" and ***g up.
