I received the same call as everyone else.  In my opinion, Tidewater is in violation of the TCPA (see FCC website : http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/tcpa.html) if they are calling your cellphone.  Quote from the FCC web site is below.  In our interpretation, the last point about "any other service" includes cell phones where the consumer pays for the call.  You can file a complaint online with FCC at : http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm . I am in the call center industry and my company must follow TCPA - apparently Tidewater is not.  The reason no one answers the call is because Tidewater apparently does not know how to properly "pace" their autodialer campaigns and so there is a long delay between the answer and the time the call is passed off to a live operator.  If you stayed on the line long enough, a live person would undoubtedly come on.From FCC-"Autodialers can produce, store, and dial telephone numbers using a random or sequential number generator. They often place artificial (computerized) or prerecorded voice calls. The use of autodialers, including predictive dialers, often results in abandoned calls – ****-ups or “dead air.” Except for emergency calls or calls made with the prior express consent of the person being called, autodialers and any artificial or prerecorded voice messages may not be used to contact numbers****igned to: any emergency telephone line; the telephone line of any guest or patient room at a hospital, health care facility, home for the elderly, or similar establishment; a paging service, wireless phone service (including both voice calls and text messages), or other commercial mobile radio service; or any other service for which the person being called would be charged for the call.

Does anyone know how to stop this call? The call was $.40 although I didn't answer.

I've recently s****ed receiving these calls too.  I called the 853 0400 and the lady was nice to me, when I explained I don't live in VA, we were recently transferred and have kept the 757 cell phone.  She said she would take us off the list, it would take 48 - 72 hours.

Submitted complaint to FCC and also notified Tidewater Tech of issue with phone line.

I went to Tidewater Tech... they are con artists, was a complete waste of money. I learned more in HS tech ed class. It does not surprise me they are resorting to this. The campus on my side of the water was shut down, they are desperate to stay in business and probably just too dumb to properly configure their automated spam dialer.

They been calling my house 3 times a day and i am tire of it so i try to call it back but no one answers and ever time i pick up the phone one say anything.But it just a auto service that is not program the right way.

Spencer is correc****s an auto dialer to recruit people to the school.When questioned as to why ***ody answers the lady got ****y about it but is removing my company cell number from their records.

STOP CALLING ME

They s****ed calling me too... how do they get my cell #?

Company phone that has to be answered even in meetings after first ring normally I would not have to look at the number but after this s****ed yes****ay 3 times I have to look at the phone before I answer it, it stopped two meetings before I figure it out.

One time, they called me and I heard a clearing of the throat.

Does anyone know how to stop this call? We receive 2+ calls a day have done now for weeks. The number doesn't exist when you try and dial it back

JUST TELL THEM MUGS TO STOP CALLING ME

We get calls once or twice a day from this number. When we answer no one speaks and it disconnects. If the ma****e answers no one speaks either? What is the deal? are they trying to tap into our line or so****ing? How can they have a legitimate business interest if no one ever speaks? I called them and the ma****e says "Educational Resources. Please leave a message."

i get calls from this number daily and they never leave a message and i never pick up
