The GOLD RUSH PROMO INTERNATIONAL scam email shown below claims that the recipient has won money in an international lottery. The email is an attempt to initiate a dialogue with****ential victims and subsequently trick them into sending money to the scammers responsible. There is no "GOLD RUSH PROMO INTERNATIONAL" and no prize money.

I received a call from Micheal Smith at Union Bank in San Diego saying I he had a check for me from Gold rush International for $750,000, and a cash prize of $10,000. Then asked, "How do you feel?" I said "It sounds like a scam, because I did not enter any sweepstakes." He said he would contact Goldrush International and get back to me "honey".

This phone number called me stating I won a large sum of money. I am trying to verify if this number was from the place they said they were from.
