The company is Verafast. They are telemarketers for newspapers accross the US, they sell newspapers. They get your number if you subscribe to a major newspaper (Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronical, SF Chronicle, etc.). If you dial the number and get the "Customer Service" message, it is legitimate. Entering your number should remove your number from their call list. You can also request removal from the call list at their website www.verafast.com.
Has called my cell 4 times in the past 2 days. I answered twice, said "hello" multiple times, and they ***g up.
I have been receiving these calls quite a few times in the past few weeks.I never answered and they never left a message. Today I said what the heck, picked up the phone and waited until someone came on the line. A very pleasant woman came on line, new my full name and referred to the daily newspaper that I stopped my subscription to in June. She wanted to know if I had cancelled due to a problem in service. When I said no she offered me a 12 week package deal, I said no. She thanked me for my time and we ***g up.My Caller ID showed "VERIFICATION FR". Sometimes it pays just to take the call just to stop them.
So who is it? Same message
