Thank you for your comments about the segment on Child Abuse. We hear from viewers all around the country, and appreciate everyone in New York that watches our spots. Child abuse is a major concern in this country and we are glad we could shed some light on this issue. The spot that you watched was a national run. There will be additional regional and local runs for this story around the country.
I found this blog and wanted to comment on the story about preventing child abuse. It was a great story and we really need more good programs like this one. I just watched a similar segment on the news about the child abuse problems in this country and it was very disturbing. I hope anyone that commits such terrible crimes is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I am in NYC and wanted to know if this story will be airing a***n in the future.Good job!
I am in Denver Colorado and I just watched a couple of your national educational spots. Both of them were very good. One was on Eco Travel and the other was about Preventing Child Abuse. I was very impressed with the quality and really happy to see that you are bringing more awareness to child abuse problems.I'm pretty sure these spots were national. How do I find out about your airing schedule for local spots in Colorado, or do you only do national spots?Thank you a***n for covering these important issues.
This is very true. There are very few quality educational media outlets that can effectively help companies get the right message out in an educational format. We decided to work with World Progress Report and we were very happy with the outcome. We are regional, but we ran our educational commercials from Miami to North Palm Beach and were very happy with the response. We are planning to do a second project this fall.Neil
I'm glad you liked the program. Our series with Joan Lunden runs on Public Television primarily, however, we do run educational commercials on Discovery Health both regionally and nationally. It's good to hear from viewers in different parts of the country. A***n, thanks for wat****g the program.
I am in Utah and had the chance to see one of your programs this past weekend. I really liked the segment on plasma therapy. Does your show also run on Discovery Health?KR

They have a good show, but they need to do somthing on the oil spill, That mess isstill out of control and do more enviornmental shows so we can see how BP is gonna clean up that mess.
I came across this blog while I was doing research on world progress report. They have a an amazing show and website. I have always like her. It seems they do short stories on a varietyof topics. They work with experts in many areas. They have the Dept of Energy and the Green Buildingbig wigs on their show. We are looking forward to working with them. They gave us references and everything looks very promising.
I've seen the program the program ob CNBC recently. The thing I watched was on womens health issues.I really enjoyed it. I think it is on public television also. I hope to see more shows like this in the future.
We have several projects in the pipeline that will be addressing the Gulf oil spill. We are in the planning stages at this time, however, we should have a better idea regarding the specific locations that our crews will cover within the next 30 days. If Mississippi is one of the locations, we will let you know via this message board.
I just got a call from a producer at this number. The show is world progress report with Joan Lunden. I've always respected Lunden. Has done a show?
After inquiring about upcoming segments, I was directed to Fox Business where World Progress Report was running some commercials this past weekend. They were produced well and very educational. I also found out that Joan Lunden is only involved with the Public Television part of the project.
I am in Mississippi and I also watched some World Progress Report segments recently. I love the quality of your work. We are really concerned about the oil spill here in the gulf and how it will affect the coast. I wanted to know if there are any upcoming stories on this issue. I really like Joan Lunden and I hope she is also concerned about the****ential damage down here. It would be great if World Progress Report came here to do a story. Is that a possibility???Thank You,GH

I am on location in Los Angeles working on a very compelling educational story on kidney disease. There are several topics that we will be covering on the subject and we anti****te completing the story in the next 60-90 days. In light of all the suffering that the individuals that we are interviewing face on a daily basis, this is a very difficult story to cover. But, their stories need to be told and I am fortunate that I was****igned to do this feature story. We need to educate people about this disease and help them better understand their options for treatment.Jack P
I am in New York working on a very interesting educational story on dyslexia. Most people don't realize how many people suffer with dyslexia. While doing some research I found that; of people with poor reading s****s, 70-80% are likely dyslexic. Also, one in five students, or 15-20% of the population, has a language based learning disability and dyslexia is probably the most common of the language based learning disabilities. When this story comes together we will post it on our web site. Please call the number above if you have any questions about the series.Jane
I am in Oklahoma City and I wanted to comment on your educational spots. I viewed some national spots that ran on CNBC and Fox Business recently and they were great. When are the segments covering the oil spill in the Gulf going to air?Kay W.
Producer:I am a Field Producer currently in Chicago *****ing a great story on responsible investing. I have written, directed and produced stories for the World Progress Report for several years. We always take a positive and educational approach on all the topics that we cover for the series. From finance and investing to new medical advancements, our crews are always looking to tell a compelling story about the people and organizations having impacts in their respected fields. One of my next****ignments will be addressing the environmental impacts that the Gulf oil spill is having on the coast. I will report back with updates on these projects as soon as possible.
I watched an educational commercial spot on Fox Business this past weekend. Was that your program? It was very well done. How do I get a schedule for upcoming shows?Kevin
I recently watched a program on early childhood education. This information need to get out. A really good program like this is long overdue

If your local affiliates are not airing the segments, you can contact your local station program director and request the World Progress Report. The show is available via satellite uplink to all the affiliate stations. We also air educational commercial segments on CNBC, CNN, Fox Business, Fox News, Discovery Channel and Discovery Health.

I am pleased to report that the airings ran as scheduled this week and the quality of the spots was exceptional. The graphics were also a nice touch. I am looking forward to seeing more programs in the future.KBC from Alabama
I was wat****g tv the other day and I came across one of your segments. I s****ed doing some research and found the World Progress Report site. I like the content. When will it air a***n???
I got a call earlier today from the Progress Report. I just found this site and it's a great way to find info about a company. It looks like these guys have a good thing going. But the economy is really hurting us this yea
I am in the field in Iowa working on a story about a prevalent problem in this area...invasvie aquatic species. My crew and I had a great ***** day and we will post a link to the finished segment as soon as we complete the edit. Our eco-system, as we know it, faces a serious problem if we don't address this problem.
Im looking foward to seeing this series Ive seen the program many times on public television and i like the format of the short form segments. They pack alot of good info in their programs. I really like Joan Lunden Ive followed her for many years. Glad to see she is still doing good work. I wiil keep an eye out for the travel show.
My research team and I are at "Orlando's Best Kept Secret" on****ignment here in Sunny Orlando. We're resear****g some new hot spots for a series on "The Best Luxury Destinations Under the Sun". No doubt, this resort is in my fab 5. I won't give away its name just yet. Instead, you'll have to watch the do***entary series for yourself. But I can say it is one of the best and most upscale resorts on the planet. In working with the World Progress Report and its team, I can say first hand that it is one of the best short-form programs created for Public Television. I've been personally involved with ***dreds of productions and programs. The quality of the series, the different focus on varied topics and the educational nature of the project set this program in a league of its own. And obviously having such a well known host like Joan Lunden to the series is a huge p*****he exposure on the series is second to none, which is why my research team is always very "choosy" about who they select for the series. That's part of our "process" in order to make sure that the quality of the program and standard for the series matches the organizations we invite on the series. So, Orlando's best kept secret will not be a secret for too much longer. We are including them in the lineup. Keep a lookout!
Prod. ManagerI have worked for World Progress Report for nearly 7 years. It is a great company to work for and they treat their employees and their clients with the utmost respect. If you decide to work with us, I can****ure you that it will be a great experience. Please contact us directly if you have any questions.MB
The “World Progress Report” hosted by Joan Lunden is a one-of-a-kind education series that airs on Public Television stations nationally. Our series is on the forefront of the do***entary television industry, producing some of the best short form educational programming in the U.S. We’ve featured some of the top leaders in the country, such as President George HW Bush, Donald Trump, and Colin Powell. We have also featured many Hollywood celebrities, such as; Martin Sheen and Gary Sinise as well as prestigious universities around the country, including Yale and Berkeley. In addition, we recently worked with the “Department of Health and Human Services” on stories dealing with diabetes and obesity. We also recently completed a series with the State Attorneys Office of Florida and the FBI on “Iden***y Theft and Scams”. Our production team has won many Telly Awards and we have some of the most talented and creative producers in the business.
We need more truly educational and informative programs like these. It seems like every show is a reality show no***ays.
thanks
Cancer??When will the series on cancer treatment be ready?
I am with one of the production crews currently working on a project at the Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa. Our production manager let us know that there was a blog about the series and asked us to post an update. I am working on the project with Michelle and we are very impressed with the facilities here. This Cancer Center and the doctors are amazing and we are excited about some of the new treatments and their impact on the patients. Some newer drugs are showing increases in survival rates of up to 3 times more than without the treatment. We will post links to some press releases highlighting these stories along with the actual finished segments as soon as they are completed.Tom
