These people called to my cell phone.

That I had an overdue account and they were with the US Legal Investigation Dept......Didn't speak English very well.........It is a scam.......called from 772-497-0095...

These people called my work and said the same thing. They claim that they are US Legal Dept of Investigation. They told me that there is a legal claim about me that I need to take care of it and they will help me to resolve the problem to settle the case outside. So I told them thats fine, and I will called them back after work. He said that his name was officer morgan. So I call them back, and the lady answer. I ask what is this? she said that this is the US Legal Department of Investigation. I asked for officer morgan but she said that he step out for a minute. This lady hardly understand english. I told her to give me a call when he gets back and I gave her the FBI 800 #. Call them back and give them the local FBI # for them to call. Also there is another # and I think these are the same none speaking english, they claim that they are the National Crime Center..When I got a call it had a +409-221-3663.These people are scammers..Be carefull. Do not be afraid of these people.

I got a message left for me ON MY HUSBANDS work cell phone with an OBVIOUSLY foreign accent that was terribly hard to understand saying his name was "Richard Williams" from the United States Legal Investigation Dept. and that I had defaulted on some type of online acct.. He also went on to say that I had committed a fraud and used MY HUSBANDS social security number as well! He stated that i had put my husbands' name and phone number down as a reference & that he was just as much responsible for the debt as I was. He gave the phone number (772)497-0095 as his call back number even though the actual number that showed up on the caller ID was +052797815, which, I believe, is an overseas number. Luckily, my husband was too busy to check his messages till he had already come home & allowed me to listen to it before taking any kind of action. They wanted me to confirm that I was the person that the message was regarding by telling him MY social security number!! I ***g up on him.. TOTAL SCAM ARTIST-DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

Got a message on my voicemail today from the number 052797815, they number they left for me to return the call was 772 497 0095.  Very heavily Indian accented man calling himself Jack Taylor stating he was from the United States Legal Investigation Department.  Message said he needed to speak to me about a time sensitive matter before he was required to take legal action a***nst me.  I googled the name US Legal Investigation Department and got a hit on a blog site that gave countless recounts of these same type of calls all from different area codes, all saying the same thing.  Last week someone from a different company called me at work and all they would tell me was they needed the name of my attorney as legal action was pending a***nst me.  I ***g up on him.  He called back and asked why I had ***g up and I told him I had no idea who he was or what he wanted but I wanted him to never call my work number a***n.  He told me to go to the courthouse and clear up this matter myself then.  As of today 8/18/2010 there have no more calls to my work but plenty of these same calls to my home number all from different people people stating different "company" or "department" names.  Instead of asking for my attorney they just leave the "legal matter message" now.  I wonder what would happen if I actually got an attorney to call them.  My husband is in the military so getting legal advice or representation wouldn't cost me a whole lot.  I am still looking for a way to report them but with the limited information I am provided with from these so called "companies" it seems pretty futile.
