Leave a CommentI just did another post with this hhahaGot a call from http://www.theexecutiveclub.us this guy from The Executive Club in New York, beware. They claim to be an executive search placement firm and they say the "help" place executives into firms by using their network. So the guy's name was Jai and says "We charge a fee for the executives to help them find a position" but we charge $5,000. So I ask, do you get that before or after I get hired, and of course they said "before" because of all the work blah blah. So at this point I ask, what's your website? http://www.theexecutiveclub.us is what he said. Then he asked, "can I arrange to have someone call you back tomorrow evening?" and then I said "what's your number? I'll call you back tomorrow." Of course he said "sorry sir, we don't work like that". Then I gave him my famous "No thanks" and ***g up.These *******s found my info on monster, users beware of anyone claiming to retain them to find a job for you. Normally it is the company that retains the recruiter, not the candidate retaining the recruiter. Of course being an executive I spot this a mile away..
I think it has to do with international calls. There's someone's calls I've been avoiding - from Turkey - and after calling a few times in a row and me not answering, this 773 number shows up instead of his real number. I know because I made the mistake of answering it once. Now I know. . .
As an update, I can tell you that this number is being used by some character by the name of "Mike Davis" that represents some NY-based PAID executive search outfit called "The executive Club". His callback number was a disposable VOIP number at (773)295-2***. In fact, This clown trolled monster.com for my resume and solicited me when I tried to call him. There ae far worse offenses I suppose, and I can't blame him for trying to sell me, but I do take offense to folks capturing my info off of of htp:/www.monster.com to solicit me. Add to that that none of the info was upfront and straightforward until the point where he actually got me on the phone. I suspect that the tactics are borderline illegal, or as a minimum can and should get their monster.com account revoked. Anyway, this outfit's info is below:The Executive Club(646) 330-4634 (phone)[email protected]://www.theexecutiveclub.us
I just got a call into my cell phone from that same number. I called it back immediately and it reported as disconnected or no longer working or some s**t. The odd thing here is that I also got a voicemail at the same time. The mesage was from a "Mike Davis" who apparently saw my resume on monster.com and wanted to talk to me... and to call him back at (347) 694-4719... and that was it... all very creepy and non-specific as far as job related calls go. Anyway, I called that number and got the generic leave a message from what sounded like "Grand Central" service that Google is now offering... which kinda means that this "Mike Davis" may well be trying to mask his number via that service and perhaps others. 'm betting this is another s***bag trying to ofer me another amazing opportunity selling insurance or so****ing on a straight commission basis. I should officially be on the do-not-call list for all of those harassing a**holes, but all of them (especially AFLAC)seems to ignore this and call e every time I update my resume.
Same thing happened to me. I got 4 calls in a row, two from this number then from unavailable numbers. I picked up and noone answered, and when I didn't pick up no message was left.
I keep getting several calls in a row late at night with this number, and sometimes it shows "Unavailable #". This has happened three times in the past week. Since I get up at 5am every morning, I am less than thrilled when I get calls in the middle of the night from no one. Once, there was a man on the other end who could barely speak English. He just kept saying*****o. I think it's time for a new cell #...
