Leave a CommentCareerBuilders in downtown Chicago. May be working on a project for your company. Or could be calling to interview someone who applied for a job on their website or another job ***t website. It may have been a confidential call. When I worked for a law office, we were not allowed to leave any information, including our phone number, except for our first name on a client's answering ma****e. The calls were highly confidential and our client might not have been the only one to hear the call. Our client might not want anyone else to know a lawyer was calling. Usually, our client knew who we were.

A woman just called asking for Mike. When I told her we have 7 of them here, she said she was told that Mike was the Dir. of Operations. I told her that was not the case and she immediately ***g up on me.
This number left a message like they were a personal friend. I did not know the number, but it turns out to be CareerBuilder.
They called and left no message. I hardly ever answer a call from out of my area because I don't know of anyone outside my local area code.Don't know why someone looking to help with building a career would call me. I'm happily retired.Caller ID: 773-527-3600I'm also listed on the national do not call registry so they're breaking the law too.
They ask for 'Michael' and when i said wrong number he replied politely with 'Sorry' though. So far, there's only a time. Hope it's not just the beginning....

We just placed an ad in local paper, so it would make sense that careerbuilder would be trying to call
We have gotten calls from them too. She also asked for our president by his first name. When I said he wasnt available she asked for his voicemail.
former cb'er wasn't good at his/her job... that's why he/she only made 12/HR
yes, this is Careerbuilder. reps have to make minimum 100 calls per day. it ****s - i used to be a telemarketer and make $12/HR! AHH! just tell them you'd like to talk to a manager when they call and explain that they are harrasing you. They'll take care of the calls.
I'm confused... was it or was it not a pain... why did you ask that in a question?
This number kept calling my phone and also asking for me as if they knew me. I do not know how they got my name or my phone number but I was very angry. I do not think it is legal for them to call people or get their information if the information was not provided to them. This is ridiculous, and an invasion of privacy!!!
You went through all that over "3 to 4 calls"? Big deal lady, let it go
Someone keeps calling and are not very pleasent. Would not quit calling - day after day. Finally I did a web search, turns out to be careerbuilder. Call and requested to be taken off their call list. I gave the office number and she stated that this number will taken off their list. Hopfully this will work. Well, as I am typing this message - they phoned a***n, I told them I had asked not to be contacted and I ***g up. The nerve he called a***n!!!! So we had 3 to 4 calls from this guy. WHAT A PAIN???!!!!!
got a call on my work phone which means person must have asked for me by name to get connected to my extension. I only heard background noise the first call but no message was left. Two days later got a call a***n but no message.
Got a call from this number and on my voice mail all there is was heavy breathing for about 60 seconds in the form of a song. Really weird.
This number is the main outgoing number from careerbuilder.com main facility. They are relentless. They have called 14 times even though I and members of my office have asked them to not call a***n. How can we make this **** stop?
caller asked for mike and ***g up after mike got on phone
They called our business and asked for our President -- by his first name! -- "Is Bob there?", like she was his best friend. When I asked "Who's calling, please?", she simply said "Stephanie" -- no company, no nothing. Now really, is that professional? I'd never put through someone like that.
Called me and left no message because I could not identify the number. I receive applicationd from CB.com so it may be from there.
got a call from this number, didn't answer but it was someone saying they were from careerbuilder.com.

Woman calls pretending to know you and says you tried to connect her with HR on the last call. Acts upset when you do not set up an appointment.
