This # called about 8:30 Sun AM didn't answer, no message left. Annoyyy-ing!!
call from World Wide travels from a manager. Sounded Filipino. Anyways, said i won either a 3 night hotel stay or cruise for me and my partner. Said I had to go to Westminster or San Diego. When i told him i was in NYC, he asked how far away that was to San Diego and if a family member could go on my behalf. I asked him how much money is needed from me and he said absolutely nothing. Rec'd two phone calls from this number today. The 1st one shows that it is a call from Illinois and looks like a normal call. The 2nd call doesn't show where they are calling from and at first glance it looks like an international call. I did not answer. I do no answer calls that I am not familiar with the number. So much for being registered with the DO NOT CALL list :(
I got a call on my cell from a man saying he was the manager of so****ing, but he had a very heavy accent so it was hard to tell what he was saying, but I knew his sales pitch for what it was when he launched into it.
Got a call from lady with heavy accent. Claim I won a trip or cruise but couldn't tell me my name or my partners. **** up.
I just received a call from a woman with a heavy accent claiming that I had filled out a ballot and had won a trip. I don't fill out those forms. The woman then proceeded to ask for personal info. I told her to email me the info, but she kept trying to pass me onto her supervisor. It felt like a scam, so I got off the line as soon as possible.
Lady with an accent claiming to be with World Wide Travels tried to get me and my "partner" to attend a presentation at the Double Tree Hotel in San Diego 1646 Front St, San Diego, CA 92101 to claim my winning trip. Asked for my email address and told me to bring ID to the event. When I told her I did not have a partner she told me they would call me back on Sunday for the singles trip event.
Guy with foreign accent claimed I won a trip from a sweepstakes a filled out in a mall. I usually don't waste my time with those things. Anyway, he claimed he was going to read my application to me but s****ed asking questions.I didn't answer the questions and I said, "I thought you had my application so the answers should be in front of you". Call disconnected.
