Leave a CommentProbable scam attempt. Caller had an Indian accent and represented himself as being from the Tax Audit section of the IRS, saying the same thing commenters Tree, Tee and bc reported. This may be one tangible result of the IRS getting hacked recently.
Caller said you are in trouble for tax evasion and call back the second you get this message before things get out of hand. At the end he said i can do now is wish you luck. What a scammer!
This person keeps calling stating I'm in trouble for tax evasion. Definitely a SPAM call!
I have gotten calls from the same part over the past several days.
Total scam. Same as bc. Don't call them back and don't fall for their scam.
They left a voicemail that stated "You are in trouble with Tax evasion, call back before things get out of hand."
