I was scammed by this person. He will post a listing on Craigslist, and per my research, he does this in cities all over this country. People will post on Craigslist to beware of the listing, yet the posting will be "flagged for removal". The only way to protect yourself is to do some extra research online, there are tons of postings from others who have been scammed. Also, be sure to call the management company of the apartment he is supposedly subletting. Try to avoid this person at all costs. He will go onto these web pages and post "positive" reviews and claim all the negative comments are just from angry tenants. However, noone can ever be a tenant of his, since he does not own ANY of these apartments he claims to.

Owner of this number takes on various pseudonyms (including Thomas J Flanagan, Ricky Botega, Carla Flanagan, etc) to engage in sublet scams based off adverti*****ts in Craigslist.  Also known to post many (fake) positive reviews online under other pseudonyms as well as give other fake email "references".  Number is traced to *****chusetts; This person resides in Chicago.  Recommendation if suspected of dealing with this person is to try to contact a Management Company of the "sublet"-- if no such company exists, is unreachable, or has never heard of the person in question, let that be a warning sign.  If this person claims there is no management company, ask for additional pictures of the outside of the house and verify using google maps and interior of the house from an angle YOU specify.  If the person is unable to provide this, chances are the photos were copied from another source online.
